2. WHAT IS DRAMA?
Drama is a story enacted live on stage
for an audience.
Drama is Greek for “to do” or “action”
Lights! Camera! Action!

3. WHAT IS A PERFORMANCE?
An act of staging or presenting a play,
concert, or other form of entertainment.

4. HARDEST PART?
Public speaking can be the hardest part when
putting on a performance. This is also called
verbal expression.

5. SPEAK TO ME!
Practicing voice levels,
facial expressions, and
overall talk will make
anyone a great actor or
actress! Think about your
favorite TV show and try
to remember how they
acted.

6. FIRST
Today, we will practice verbal expression or
public speaking using our voices and face.
This is the first step of the performance
element of drama!
