2. Summary:
I have 11 years experience in Marine & Industrial utilizing Rope Access, experience gained
on Ships/ Semi – submersable, repair Mobile Offshore Drilling Units, Preassure Vessels and
Petrochemical plants. Offshore installations and maintenance of various other engineering
projects, achieved both in South Africa and Offshore.
Active involvement for 6 years with heading up teams, carrying out structual integrity,
coating surveys and maintenance on FPSO’s (Floating Production & Storage Offshore
vessels), Oil Rigs (West Africa). Imalso involved in NDT utilizing Digital thickness
Measurements, Magnetic Particle Inspection and visual inspection.
A sound working knowledge with Construction, Marine and Piping Isometric drawings and
P&ID systems / drawings for the purpose of RBI (Risk Based Inspection Analysis).

Maintenance and refurbishment of rigs and vessels in Cape Town & Walvis Bay dry docks. I
aslo did numerous land based jobs such as signage, silo cleaning, refinery maintenance and
inspection, geotechincal work aswell as maintenance and cellular transmitter towers.
Storeman / Buyer
Inspection and issuing of rope access equipment , logistical organising for offshore jobs in
Africa and Brazil. It was also my personal responsibility to certify and register all rope access
