3. Cell Phone Use
• Personal cell phone use is restricted during work hours
• Texting, talking or any other use of a personal cell phone is not
allowed during working hours
• Talking on cell phones and texting is not allowed while driving a
Sundown vehicle.
• Talking on cell phones and texting is not allowed while driving on
Sundown property.
• Personal cell phone use must be on break times in break areas
4. Cell Phone Use
• Violation of this policy will result in discipline.
• This policy applies to the use of other personal electronic items
such as laptops, Ipods, Blackberrys, etc.
• Sundown M Ranch is not responsible for the theft of or damage to
personal items brought to work
5. Accident/Injury at Work
• Accidents and injuries at work must be immediately reported by the
employee involved and by anyone who witnesses an accident (this is not
optional)
• Report form is on our intranet
• Report automatically goes to required parties
• You will be contacted if follow up is needed

6. Accident/Injury at Work
•Sundown’s Drug Free Workplace Policy requires:
• Post accident drug testing any time medical treatment is sought
• It is the employee’s responsibility to adhere to the policy
• Best place: Central Washington Occupational Medicine
7. The Family Medical Leave Act is a federal law designed to provide job
protection for employees who are unable to work due to their own Serious
Medical Condition or that of their Spouse, Child or Parent.
This leave also applies with a newborn child, newly adopted child or new custody
of a foster child (no medical condition required)
FMLA
8. FMLA
• The Family Medical Leave Act requires employers of 50 or more
employees to provide:
• Up to 12 weeks of unpaid time off for employees who qualify
• To be eligible you must have completed:
• 12 months of employment with 1250 hours worked in the past year
• And you must have a physician’s certification of the need for medical
leave
9. FMLA
Leave can be intermittent or consecutive
At Sundown, any PSL and PTO accrued will be paid out
concurrently with FMLA leave
Once out of PSL and PTO, time off will be without pay (and you
will not be accruing more PSL or PTO)
You must notify your supervisor of the need for FMLA as soon as
you are aware you will need it
You must provide the certification or FMLA can be denied
10. FMLA
• Your job is protected for up to 12 weeks of FMLA providing you meet
the criteria and follow the policy
• If you are unable to return to work after 12 weeks your job is not
protected
• Eligibility is on a rolling 12 month period
