Why the change?
•New legislation for paid sick leave created a need
to balance the paid time off Sundown M Ranch
provides
•Sundown already had provision for up to 50 paid
days off per year (not counting bereavement or
jury duty)
• 4 days off per month paid and 8 regular days = 12
So:
•40 hours of PTO was moved to Paid Sick Leave
Previously: PTO 2018
0-5 year employees = 10 hrs/mth 6 PTO + 4 PSL
6-10 year employees = 13 hrs/mth 9 PTO + 4 PSL
11-15 year employees = 16 hrs/mth 12 PTO + 4 PSL
16–20 year employees = 18 hrs/mth 15 PTO + 4 PSL
20+ year employees = 20 hrs/mth 16 PTO + 4 PSL
Maximum Accrual Change
•0-5 year employees = 140 + possible 40 PSL
•6-10 year employees = 194 + possible 40 PSL
•11-15 year employees= 248 + possible 40 PSL
•16-20 year employees= 284 + possible 40 PSL
•20+year employees = 320 + possible 40 PSL
•Note: reductions to maximum will take place
12/31/2018
Revised Unscheduled Absence Policy
•PTO requests now require 7 days prior notice or
will be considered unscheduled absences
•PSL hours will not be counted in the Unscheduled
Absence Policy
•New Unscheduled Absence Policy takes effect July
1st
