Dear Parents,
You are familiar with the poster "Uncle Sam Wants You!"
Well, GHA Wants You… to help us educate your child
Jewishly!
There is no more powerful teacher than a parent!
A parent that sets aside time for Torah study will have
children who do the same. A parent that nurtures his or her
Jewish soul will have children who will do the same when
they reach adulthood.
The best thing you could do to help us achieve our Jewish
mission as a school is to find a teacher, a class, a "chevruta"
to study Torah.
You convey better than anyone else that Torah study
matters and is a lifelong pursuit! Here are ways GHA
can help you do that:
Join us Tuesday mornings for our Melton class on Jewish
values and lifecycles. We'll empower you to be even more
effective as a Jewish parent.
Join us for a study of the Biblical Prophets Wednesday
afternoons after the High Holiday season. We'll give you
valuable lessons to bring home to dinner.
Join us for Coffee and Covenant every Friday. You give us 25 minutes and we'll give you a
meaningful pick-me-up for your morning.
Ask your parents to join us for a pre-Sukkot grandparents morning of learning. We'll give
them a memorable opportunity to learn alongside the apple of their eye.
1. Melton: Tuesdays 8-9:30 am $275, starting 8/24, at GHA. To register, email
Shelley.Buxbaum@atlantajcc.org, 678-812-4152.
2. Prophets of Social Change: Wednesdays, 5-6 pm, beginning October 6 at GHA.
3. Coffee and Covenant: Fridays, 8:05-8:30 am, starting 8/20 in the ECD.
4. Pre-Sukkot: Grandparent Learning: Monday, 9/27: Lower School; Tuesday, 9/28: Middle
School, time is TBA.
We look forward to studying with you.
Shabbat Shalom,
Your GHA Administration team
