was in a 1907 article by Lightner Witmer in the
inaugural issue of Psychological Clinic,the journal

Theclinical method is also calledcase study method.It is
used by clinical psychologists, psychiatrists, psychiatric social
works and teachers in child guidance clinics or mental
hygiene centers or in ordinary school situations.

detailed information on the behaviour problems
of maladjusted and deviant case.
The maladjustment may be in the form of
anti-social behavior , emotional disturbances,
in the area of learning and backwardness in
school subjects.
