My Joy, Your Joy
1. A message from Jesus
My Joy, Your Joy
To have My joy in your heart is to remember that this joy is My joy, not yours. It doesn't
mean that you're happy with everything in your life exactly the way it is; it means that
I'm happy and have promised to extend that happiness and joy to you. My joy comes
from My heart and is given to you when you ask for it and make room for it.
While you can have My joy when doing something that you enjoy, My joy cannot be
based on things or circumstances that are temporary. My joy is based on the things
that are eternal or heavenly, such as love, peace, or faith. If you want My joy, you
need to learn to look for it in these ethereal things that aren’t man-made or bought.
2. You can also ask for My joy, ask Me to help you to find the things that are worth smiling
about, and that can help to make you feel more cheerful. If you base your joy on how
you feel, you may often not feel very joyful, because the Enemy of your soul is sure
to use his joy-killing tactics, not to mention the disappointments of life that can easily
snuff out your joy if you let them.
If your joy is gone, don’t be disheartened! You can allow My joy to make you happy
even if things aren't perfect. If I can be happy for you, because I know that things will
turn out all right for you in the future, can't you believe that My joy is sufficient for you
and enough to bring you through your unhappy moments?
