This document discusses how to write SMARTA objectives for teaching. SMARTA stands for Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound, and Adjustable. Each component of SMARTA is defined: specific means detailing what will be accomplished, measurable means how progress will be quantified, achievable means how the goal can realistically be attained, relevant means the importance of the goal, time-bound means setting a clear timeline, and adjustable means making the objective flexible if needed. Examples of both strong and weak objectives are provided to demonstrate how to write effective SMARTA goals for lessons.
