Dear Francis,
I am delighted to inform you of your Fall 2016 admission to the School of Business (GWSB) as a candidate for the
degree of Master of Accountancy. Our program is flexible, exposing you to a large number of courses including
accounting, taxation, business law, and finance. Our graduates are well prepared for careers in the public or
private sector, including accounting firms, consulting services, and the government.
Based on your excellent qualifications, the Department of Accountancy is pleased to offer you a
fellowship award starting in Fall 2016. The conditions of your award are as follows:
A 50% waiver up to $5,000 will be granted each semester as long as you maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5.
No work or employment is attached to your fellowship. The award does not cover summer courses or
courses that are not part of your program.
We cannot offer you any additional scholarship at this time.
You are responsible for payment of all tuition and fees not covered by the award
This fellowship offer applies only if you enter in the Fall 2016 semester. If you choose to defer your
admission to a future semester, the offer will expire.
The fellowship also terminates if you violate the GWU Honor Code or receive an incomplete in any course.
To complete the admissions process, please respond by February 3, 2016. Classes for Fall 2016 begin on
August 29, 2016, but you are expected to arrive earlier to attend the orientation activities. Upon receipt of your
signed declaration of intent, and as we get closer to the beginning of the new semester, you will receive additional
information regarding new student advising, registration, and orientation activities. Please note that if you are
receiving your Bachelor's Degree in the semester immediately preceding your enrollment, you will need to show
proof of graduation before being able to register.
Congratulations again on your admission. We look forward to you joining our program. If you have any
questions or concerns, please contact us at maccy@gwu.edu or 202-994-1212
Sincerely,
Christopher E. Storer
