My core skills are extensive experience with creative design, client/customer
management, project management of multiple projects, scheduling, projection of man
hours / costs, supervision, safety and liability issues based on my involvement with
design projects, architectural practice and directing programs. Problem solving, project
management and client/customer satisfaction are core components of my training beyond
experience as a design professional, an architect and director of a figure skating program. I
believe my personality and interpersonal skills are important assets for client relations,
marketing of services and staff management. Whether it is a design assignment or the
development of the program for an Ice Show, the elements I enjoy and am successful at
are defining the scope of work, developing the creative solution, establishing the
schedule, handling the procurement and implementing the project.
In the past couple of years, I have maintained two distinct careers between my own
practice of architecture and the figure skating director at the Winnetka Park District.
With the state of the economy and family commitments, this meshed well with my time
commitments and interests, but with my children being in and through with college,
I am now in the position of returning full time to the pursuit of design professional
position.
