1. Name of Project : Rolling Stock Maintenance Services Planning Using
Blueprinting Technique
Level of Project : Master‟s Degree Final Year Project

Abstract : This project is part of requirement in completing the
Master's Degree. It is about making a blueprint of
maintenance system of rolling stock base on Keretapi
Tanah Melayu Berhad current maintenance operation.
After completing the blueprinting it will then being
analysed and some improvement will be done. This
blueprinting technique can be apply on any current
maintenance system in order to get a clear picture of the
system and make major or minor improvement of the
system where applicable while making root cause analysis
in order to make improvement that will benefit the
company. PAS-55 technique is also being applied during
this project.

1. Name of Project : Locomotives Overhaul of 23 and 24 class
Level of Project : Maintenance, re-modification and adjustment
Place Attained : KTMB Central Workshop, Batu Gajah, Perak
Abstract : Locomotive Overhaul is part of the KTMB‟s maintenance
stage 4 programs which involved most of the rolling stock
starting from 19, 23, 24, 25, 26 and 29 classes. For year
2011, it consists of 2 locomotives of 23 class and 8
locomotives of 24 class. Each locomotive need to be
overhauled within 3 months‟ time period and it‟s involving
65 mechanical tradesmen‟s and 57 electrical tradesmen‟s.
2. Name of Project : Revising the KTMB’s Procurement S.O.P
Level of Project : Revising, modification and adjustment
Place Attained : KTMB Head Quarters, Kuala Lumpur
Abstract : This Procurement S.O.P amendment is including of
Purchasing and Tender & Contract which involving 10 non
– technical flow processes and 4 technical flow processes.
This amendment is make to ensure adequate availability
of rolling stock spare parts and avoiding huge amount of
money in opportunity loss due to unavailability of rolling
stock. This project needs to be revised and execute
immediately after 3 weeks of research program.

Abstract : A task that been given due to KTMB Fleet Maintenance &
Engineering‟s transformation plan that involved major

Abstract : This Trouble-shooting and maintenance project is part of
the previous project‟s warranty that been given from
Galactic Advanced Engineering Sdn. Bhd. Due to the false
reading that been given from the sensor, this project task
is about making a Fault Signal Separation exercise to each
VEGA and E&H transmitter that produced the false
reading, while determining any possible matters that will
cause a faulty or any negative behavior to the transmitter

Abstract : This Major Calibration and adjustment project is one of the
LP Pacific Film yearly calibrations that involved several of
mass flow meter, tank gauging, positioning of Erikkila
Packaging Robot, web length and PLC programmed back-
up. All of the calibrations were being done by using
several substance including liquids, boxes, resin and raw
paper.
