 Drilled and cased 17-1/2” and 12-1/4” of total depth 13120 ft sections in Muree
Formation (Rich in argillaceous & gumbo type clay) with KL/KLS Mud system
having Mud weight 14-18 ppg at GARHI Well X-01 in Potohar Region.
 Drilled 17-1/2” section in Bahadur Khel Salt range at Khawaja-1 with 15 ppg Salt
Saturated mud with successful landing & cementing of 13-3/8” casing.
 Released stuck string at Dakhani Well No.10 and recovered whole string from
10525 Ft using SFT /Black Magic Pills and excessive mechanical working.
 Encountered huge rather complete losses at 8.5 ppg weight on Fateh Well
No.01(South Region). Tried to resume fluid circulation-No success. Carried out 19
Nos Cement plug Jobs with light Crete slurry in naturally induced fractures. Again
No success. Hired Weatherford Air/Mist drilling services and successfully drilled
till target depth, landed and cemented 9-5/8” casing with poor CBL/VDL results.
 Drilled Qadirpur-28(ERW) and Qadirpur Habib Rahi-01(ERW) with
KCl/PHPA/Polymer and Sodium Silicate muds of 10-11.5 ppg in 12-1/4” section
for the zone of interest being narrow and beneath passing by River Indus.
 Used Poly Glycol system at Tando Alam well No.17 to drill 17-1/2” and 12-1/4”
sections with least tight hole conditions in reactive/hydrophilic Shale in Ghazij
formation. The section drilled with 11-11.5 ppg mud having high temperature
gradient of 1.68oF/100 ft.
 Due to high pore pressure in Pay Zone at Sundrani Well No.01 bearing 14.5-15
ppg, pore pressure OGDCL was left with no option except to place heavy brine for
completion. The mud in hole was displaced with Calcium Bromide/ Zinc Bromide
brine of 15.8 ppg weight before running completion.
