“Acquisition of external resources by the Government using Public
Funds, Grants and Gifts under Public Procurement Rules”
Purpose: The purpose of public procurement may be:
Right Quality
Right Quantity
Right Price
Right Time & Place
Right Source
Value for Money
Neither go for luxury nor very low. Choose right quality
which suits the needs. High quality can affect the Price,
Technicalities & maintenance etc
Large or Small quantity can affect the over all cost, storage,
transport etc. So, always buy right quantity.Going for cheapest material is incorrect. Keep in
consideration the whole life cost, maintenance cost, storage
and transportation cost etc. Don’t decide on initial price.
Procurement should be done at right time and right place else
expenses will rise or services will be affected.
Source of material has to be just right for our needs.
