Growth is driven by new smartphone purchases around the holiday season, as consumers are more likely to use mobile media features on newer devices. However, mobile media engagement falls over time, highlighting the need for compelling content to retain users. Latin America is following similar trends, with social networks and instant messengers especially popular mobile applications.
