Father Jay Fostner is a graduate of the Catholic Theological Union and the California School of Professional Psychology; he currently serves as the vice president of mission and student affairs at St. Norbert College in De Pere, Wisconsin. A winner of St. Norbert’s Educator of the Year Award, Father Jay Fostner also serves on the board of the Association of Student Affairs at Catholic Colleges and Universities (ASACCU). Since its founding in 1999, the ASACCU has supported student affairs professionals who serve at Catholic institutions across the United States. The organization, which operates an annual conference in addition to professional development programming, also administers awards programs that recognize professional excellence. One such award, the Mission Integration Award, recognizes exceptional practices in the area of student affairs. Currently, the award consists of three submission categories: residence life and wellness, student activities and leadership, and diversity and inclusion. Individuals who are interested in applying for the Mission Integration Award must first choose the appropriate category for their application, before describing the program for which the award is being sought and identifying the institutional areas that are responsible for the program. In addition, candidates must describe the impact of the nominated program on students and define its relationship to the mission of the school.
