Act of 1974 (FERPA), also known as the Buckley Amendment,
this record is considered confidential information and cannot
be released to a third party without the written consent of the
student.
PERSONALLY DELIVERED TRANSCRIPTS:
A transcript delivered directly to a student will be stamped in
red: ISSUED TO STUDENT.
GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors Degrees: A minimum of 120 credit hours and a
minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.00. Masters
Degrees: A minimum of 30 credit hours and a minimum
cumulative grade point average of 3.00.

completed at least fifty graded semester hours at Saint Xavier
University and earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.50
for Cum Laude, 3.70 for Magna Cum Laude and 3.90 for
Summa Cum Laude. The cumulative GPA is based exclusively
on credits earned at Saint Xavier and is the higher of (a) the
GPA for all credits earned at Saint Xavier University, or (b) the
last fifty hours earned prior to graduation. If the student
reaches and exceeds fifty hours in a term, then all the courses
earned that term are counted in the GPA for the "last fifty
hours." The student is not allowed to pick the courses to equal
exactly fifty hours. Graduation honors are recognized for
undergraduate students only.
DEAN’S LIST:
To be eligible for the Dean's List, students must have
completed a minimum of 15 semester hours of graded course
work at Saint Xavier University with a minimum cumulative

Undergraduate students may enroll in graduate courses
only with the written permission of the Dean/Director of
the program in which the course is being offered.
