Faizal Ansari has been an un-paid intern on full-time work-experience with Business Mechanix from 8rh
December 2015- 26 February 2016. Faizal was partof a three-person team puttogether by Microsoftfor
the Student Accelerate Programme for work placement over summer.
Faizal and the team were given avery challenging project, to develop a mobile application to run on all
mobile devices for Timesheeting. We are pleased to say Faizal and the team successfully completed the
application during the allocated time period and we have been very happy with his work and what the team
have achieved.
ln his time with us, his duties included the following:
1/ Work with and use Microsoft .Net and Bootstrap to build the application
2/ Work with and use Microsoft Team Foundation Services for Source Control and code released
3/ Work with and use Microsoft Azure for the Application Platform
4/ Work with and use Microsoft SQL Server for the Database back-end
5/ Use HTML and CSS to build the front end application
6/ Use Visio to Design the front end application
7/ Use the Agile Project Methodology and participate and action the following: -
- Be Agile SCRUM Master for a team of 15 developers
- Participate in Agile SCRUMS for a team of '15 developers
- Present at Weekly Showcases to a group of 15-26 people including company directors
-Participate in Group Retrospectives weekly and provide positive and constructive feedback on team
progress
- Weekly Sprint Planning including task identification and allocation and loading into project management
tool
- Communicating regularly to customer with progress
8/ Working with Business Mechanix technical leads to see guidance and ask for help when needed.
9/ Work with others in the team to produce an outcome for the customer
Faizal has proven his skills in the above items over the past '10 weeks and we are very pleased
with the team's progress. We wish Faizal all the bestforthe future roles and hope the experience
sees him and the team continue to take challenges and grow within the lT lndustry.
