• wanted a solution that provided electronic workflow to authorize projects, status updates,
and faster communication. One that was able to track labor, costs of parts, inventory used,
and at the end of the day, use less paper. Munis Work Orders met these needs.
• Within just a few months of transitioning to electronic work orders and streamlined
workflow, more than 20 departments were onboarded and able to their own work orders,
monitor requests, and receive service notifications.

7. BRISTOL WATER DEPARTMENT, BRISTOL,
CONNECTICUT
• Had a catastrophic server failure. The department was faced with a systematic hardware
failure
• Once the new servers were installed and configured, Longo, his team and Tyler support
staff worked together to transfer daily operations back to the in-house servers in
Connecticut. Tyler restored the data to the day before the server failures and included
all data transactions from the five days on Tyler’s servers.

8. CITY OF HARTFORD, CONNECTICUT
• Like many municipalities, the City of Hartford’s primary concern is their budget deficit. To
help resolve this concern they knew they needed to streamline costs and decided that they
could do that by reducing the number of checks they produced. This prompted the city to
look at alternative payment options, including e-payables and procurement cards (P-Cards)
• The city implemented processes to expand their current P-Card usage and increase
efficiencies. Drawing on their experience with Munis, they began using P-Card statements
within the Munis Accounts Payable application.
• Today, usage of P-Card statements has allowed the city to: reduce the number of checks
produced resulting in reduced bank fees, import the P-Card invoice, process invoices through
pre-determined workflow, and track all vendor payments for reporting purposes.
