This document proposes a concept for a futuristic four-star hotel in San Jose, Costa Rica without a restaurant. It includes 50 accommodation spaces, a business seminar area with three meeting rooms and two subcommittee rooms, and an aquatic universe. It analyzes Costa Rica's tourism trends, San Jose's focus on tourism, and performs a SWOT analysis. Floor plans are presented showing the layout including accommodation spaces, meeting rooms, an aquatic universe, and staff offices. A staff organization chart and weekly schedule are also included.

A – COSTA RICA TRENDS
Under the leadership of President (Oscar
Arias), who declared "peace in nature,"
Costa Rica has become a pioneer in
ecotourism.
Ecotourism is extremely popular with
foreign tourists visiting the major national
parks and protected areas that exist across
the country. Costa Rica was a pioneer in
ecotourism and is recognized as one of the
few international destinations to offer
ecotourism. In the ranking of the
competitiveness index in tourism in 2011,
Costa Rica is in 44th place, the second
country among the countries of Latin
America after Mexico.
5. Competitive advantages to develop tourism
projects in the field of human, cultural and
natural, in which Costa Rica is ranked 33rd
in the world and ranks sixth in Latin
America. The report also notes that in 2011
TTCI the main weaknesses of the Costa
Rican tourism sector, its small number of
cultural sites (ranked 104), the time required
to open a business, trade (ranked 125), the
state of Infrastructure Land Transport
(ranked 111) and the poor quality of port
infrastructure (ranked 132).
6. Most foreign visitors come from the United
States (39%), Canada (7%) and countries of
the European Union (16%), which allows to
receive approximately $ 1,000 USD on
average per tourist. In 2005, tourism
contributed 8.1% of GDP and represents
13.3% of direct and indirect jobs. Since the
beginning of 2000, tourism generates more
revenue than all exports of bananas and
coffee.

NUMBERS IN COSTA RICA SINCE 2006
In 2011, just over two million people visited
Costa Rica, of which almost half are North
Americans , the United States of America and
Canada . In 1986 , the country had registered
260,840 visitor arrivals . The progression ( ie
700 %) in 25 years is spectacular! 2011 marks
an increase of nearly 5% over 2010 , which
had been a bad year for tourism in Costa Rica
and worldwide amid economic crisis ... The
French , with nearly 9 % growth are for the
first time a little more than 38,000 to visit our
country. These are the Germans in Europe
spray scores with 10 % growth .
