8. Line Weight
• Line on the shaded side (in this case, on the
right hand side) and underneath are made
heavier
9. Shading
• Usually, a shadow cast on the floor is drawn
darker than its casting on a wall.
– Use different tone value and its relative – use one
of the darkest tones in a drawing
10. Light Direction & Cast Shadow
• The light direction is chosen to create the
appropriate contrast and size of shadows;
11. Ray Light
• Lamplight creates shadows that differ in
shape, depending on the position of the light
source
12. Shading
• A shade surface appears darker if it is angled move
away from the light source, so it creates difference
shade of color on each of its visible sides.
17. Exploded Views
• It reveal the relationship
between separate interior and
exterior parts.
• Consider balancing distance
between parts in order to
coherence the drawing
18. Instructional Drawing
• At the start up project, the complex situation was
analyzed and mapped in numerous drawings to
reveal the situation in smaller design.
• It help the client and designer get a grip on the
enormous complexity.
Editor's Notes
Line weight already cause a suggestion of depth in a line drawing;
