Laboratory Skills: Details
I am a graduate of a the Biomedical Sciences, with a
postgraduate degree in Immunology. Both degrees
contained a substantial amount of work in a
laboratory environment, which was assessed
constantly and an essential part of my training as a
scientist. In addition, I have experience in scientific
writing, producing laboratory reports and
preparing/delivering presentations, all of which are
vital for working as part of a research group.
I also have some experience working in a clinical
research environment in my previous role as a
Clinical Research Assistant (National Skin Centre,
Singapore), where I collected samples from research
subjects and had the opportunity to assist and
observe several laboratory procedures, both for the
purpose of diagnosis and for research purposes.
I have designed and completed two 3-month long
laboratory projects, as part of my undergraduate
(Pharmacology laboratory project) and
postgraduate degree (MSc laboratory project: An
investigation into the effects of nociceptin in
isolated tissues) Properties of HDL in innate
immunity; protection against Enterobacteraciae).
I am happy to provide any evidence required of the
stated proficiencies listed. Please feel free to
