The Argentine of the Indians and the
colony
 12 October 1492 - Christopher
Columbus arrived in The
Americas
 1776 – Creation of the Rio de la
plata’s viceroyalty.
 1806 – English invasions
333.000 Indias were living in Argentina.
During the viceroyalty of Rio de la Plata, there was no free
market, everything which was sold or bought came from
Spain or went to Spain.
From the Revolution to Argentina
 Spain lost their power and also now was
under Napoleon.
 After 1810 starts a civil war between The
federal power against the centralism.
 In 1880 The Conservatives arrived to the
government.
 The immigrants arrived to Argentina
 1810 – First Latinamerican government in
Viceroyalty.
 1816 – Indenpendece from Spain
 1829 – Begining of the Argentina we know
today.
 1880 - Fraud, Inmigrants, and the
Countryside
 1916 – First no-oficial party to the
government
 1930 – End of the democracy
The Argentine of The General Peron
 During Peron’s government people
started to recive Workers rights, such us
retirement, payed holidays, salary
 Also in this time the industry in Argentina
was increased
 1946 – Peron to the government
 1955 – Military government
From the dictatorship to Peron
 During the dictatorship Peron had to live
in other country
 Born to the “Guerrillas”.
 Peron died one year after his government
began.
 His new wife started the follow and killed
Communists
 1976 was the begining of the dirty war
 1955 – 1973 Dictatorship governments
 1973 – Peronism to the government
 1976 – The dirty war
The Dirty War
 In 1976 started and dictatorship
government where about 30.000 of
people was “disappeared”
 This non-democrative government was
supported by the big media and the
countryside
 In 1983 after a huge decadence the
militars had to call for elections
 1976 - Begining of the civil war
 1978 – Football world cup
 1982 – Malvina’s War
 1983 - Democracy
From democracy until Kirchner
 During alfonsin’s Government the Human
rights came back to the country, but the
economy was devastated. In 1989 he
had to leave her place as a president
 The government of Carlos Menen
destroyed every company, and increase
our debt in huge number
 In 2001 the crisis started in argentina, after
many governments that couldn’t solve it,
Nestor Kirchner came to the government
 1983 – 1989 Alfonsin Government
 1989- 1999 Menem
 1999 – 2001 Crisis
 2003 Nestor Kirchner to the government
Kirchner goverment
 During the Kirchner government the
Argentine economy started to move
again, and the poberty adn the
unployement has decreced a lot.
 Main things
- No to the big media, to the Countryside,
and the World Bank
- Creation of industry
- Control of the importations
- Laboral politics
