I would like to express my interest in becoming a Board Member with the San Diego
Children’s Choir where I can use my skills to help the organization reach its goals.
I have held the position of Membership Director with a non-profit organization in San Diego,
where I worked for over five years. During this time, I helped improve our service to the
community in the areas of fundraising and education and helped the organization look for
ways to improve.
I have administrative experience and excellent leadership skills that I would like to put to use
for the San Diego Children’s Choir. As a music educator, I understand the challenges and
rewards of teaching. I cherish classical literature and singing on the one hand, and I enjoy
contemporary music and innovations in technology on the other hand. I believe I bring a
balanced perspective on ushering in the old with the new.
I share your passion and commitment to seeing music change the lives of children and
families in San Diego. I want to see music education transform and enrich the community. I
can help you create and implement new projects that will expand the reach of the
organization, and I have the ability to help improve existing programs for continued growth
and excellence.
I get along well with others when working in a group setting and I have the ability to help
others find common ground when they disagree on what actions to take. I am confident
that I have the skills and experience to hold this position and to be a great benefit to the
San Diego Children’s Choir.
