The visual style of this bookis very bright throughout all the pages, and has very busy
layout, as there is hardly any empty spaces on the pages. The style of he images are that
they are more like hand drawings and simplistic with bright coloursthroughout. Each
page of the bookis coveredin the drawings, which represent the text, with the text
running on top of the drawings, generally at the top or bottom of the page however
some of the text is across the page when there are noises being made. The fontof the
text is in serif and has only got one or twosentences per page. It has a landscape view.

The visual style is fairly simple, howeverhas dark shading on top, and has quite muted
colours they aren’t very bright and have a cartoonlike style. The layoutof the image and
text is fairly split as forevery image there is a blackpage next to it with a small amount
of text whichmakes it easier to read for younger children, also the font in this book is in
a serif fontthroughout. Also the layoutof this book is landscape but the images don’t
coverthe entire page until the end of the book. The coloursin the drawings are fairly
dark with some pops of the bright colours rather than it all in bright colours.

The visual style is quite detailed in the drawings and have quite bright colours in the
drawings, as wellas this the layout is fairly simple as there is a blank page with only text
and one page with only image on it. As oppose to the other books there is a quite a lot
more text on each page rather than only a sentence of two. Also the font of the text is a
serif font, the styles of the images are quite pastel shades of colourrather than a very
bright colourscheme.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar has a cartoonlike visual style, with very simple
illustrations but bright colours used throughout. The text is fitted around the
illustrations in quite small chunks, the fontof this text is in serif font. In this bookthere
are a lot of different textures used within the illustrations, as different parts of the
drawings are in slightly different shades and textures which give a more scrap booklook
to the book.

The book is 32 pages long, and also has a simple visual style with a hand drawn look to
the illustrations as opposed to a more comic book or highly edited style of illustrations.
2. The text in this bookis placed around and among the illustrations rather than on
separate pages, also the fontof the text is in a serif font. The illustrations of the book are
fairly bright, as the backgrounds and greenery in the backgrounds are quite bright
greens used.

Peace at Last is a 36 page book, and has very hand drawn look to the illustrations as the
drawings lookfairly realistic, as well as this the colours used in the illustrations are
quite bright and help the focusof the drawings stand out from the backgrounds. The text
is placed around the images so it doesn’t distract from the drawings and has in a serif
font. Some of the pages have bit of a darker colour scheme to give the lookof night time.
