Our Mission + Story
SATVA, is a state of mind in which the
mind is steady, calm and peaceful.
SATVA means pure. We at SATVA
believe in a pure lifestyle through
organic made apparel for recreation.
Made from GOTS certified organic cotton. A
unique and rigorous certification that ensures
the organic status of our textile, by harvesting
the raw materials through environmentally
and socially responsible manufacturing.
Certified Organic
NON GMO
Social Responsibility
Focused on our farming communities as a
whole, we also reinvest a portion of
proceeds into a scholarship fund for the
daughters of our farmers. We give
scholarships to deserving girls in the
community to combat the 60% dropout rate
for girls over the age of 13, where farmer
families can no longer afford schooling.
Global Community
Social Impact
We believe that we can create a much larger
impact on society if we contribute not only
through sustainable initiatives, but directly
through our operations. We take pride in our
triple bottom line contribution that allows us to
provide economic and environmental benefits to
the communities in which we work and beyond.
Economic Impact
• SATVA partner farmers earn 40% more revenue by growing
organic cotton in comparison with their counterparts .
• They have roughly 20% reduced costs by not using fertilizers and
pesticides, non-GM seeds additionally we buy our cotton directly
from the farmers which both cuts out the middleman and allows
our farmers to command higher margins and also allows them to
save on otherwise necessary transportation costs.
• This reduction in cost is paramount to their livelihood as most of
these farmers are small land holders themselves with expenses
that they would not otherwise be able to cover.
• 60% of farmers’ daughters are forced to drop out of school by 8th
grade due to costs that are too great for their families to cover.
• We have launched a new scholarship program, the Blossoms for
Change, to keep our farmers daughters in school. We are
currently providing scholarships to 20 girls to ensure that
economic difficulties will not keep them out of school.
Community Impact
• SATVA partner farmers use 25% less water than their non-organic
counterparts by using less water in the farming process itself and
also by keeping natural sources of water around the fields
potable and clean.
• SATVA partner farmers eliminate the use of hazardous chemicals
and pesticides which creates cleaner, higher quality soil in the
long run, with higher production capacities and creates a safer
environment for Satva farmers, their families and our consumers.
• Organic cotton growing produces up to 94% less greenhouse gas
emissions which helps combat climate change.
Environmental Impact
Re - Branding
Historical craft of Indian dot pattern making, an artistic process used
to create simple symbols for replication into elaborate patterns. The
logo’s simplicity of form is inspired by the roots of our company, as
its outer shape is inspired by our organic cotton blossoms, while its
bold simplicity of shape is modern and forward looking.
Single and in her mid 30s, Pauline is about getting everything she can out
of life, which for her means new places, people and experiences. Central to
her identity, it’s also important that other people see her unique personality
and taste, which unfolds in a bicoastal life from Manhattan to Santa
Monica -- and overseas.
Lifestyle
Taking exotic cooking classes, she loves trying adventurous new cuisines,
especially when abroad. And as a photographer for a travel magazine,
she’s paid to pursue her life’s passion: travelling to new places. On these
trips, she always stays in funkier boutique hotels rather than luxury
lodgings.
Values
Pauline is always chasing after the next peak experience, perhaps a little
restlessly, and she can’t imagine herself living a conventional life tied to one
place (or one person). She thinks traveling and openness to new cultures
are as important as ethical product sourcing or green manufacturing. With
her yoga certification, she’s been to yoga retreats across the world, seeking
ways to learn about -- and give back -- to different cultures.
Shopping habits
Pauline carefully chooses brands that match her eclectic values and
aesthetics, finding product and fashion inspiration in highly curated lifestyle
blogs, boutiques off-the-beaten-path and taking time to find hidden
treasures -- cool things not everyone else has.

SATVA Persona 1: Passionate Pauline
Married and in her late 30s, living in a near-urban suburb (think
Cambridge, Mass, Bellevue near Seattle or Scarsdale in Westchester),
Aubrey recently had a second child. Growing up with artistic, well-
travelled parents, Aubrey now seeks meaningful, adventurous experiences
for her family. She’s careful to make sure all her life choices reflect the
creativity, connection and individuality that define her.

Lifestyle
She takes pride in being the “mostly vegan” and gluten-free chef for her
family. She loves planning adventures for her kids – whether it’s visiting a
nearby nearby or a summer vacation where everyone will learn Italian. As
a  committed full-time mother, she paired back her own creative career
when she had children but still finds time to curate a lifestyle blog.

Values
Her older son has a serious food allergy and while it can be difficult, it
confirms her belief that “life’s messy and that’s ok.” Her husband is a
lawyer – she jokes that he’s the “boring” family influence.  She loves to
garden because it keeps her connected to nature, and she brings this same
passion volunteering in her son’s school garden. She believes that how
we’re connected, how we eat and where things come from truly matter.
Shopping habits
Aubrey carefully considers all visible purchases, considering them to be
reflections of her true self. She drives a Mini Cooper which she appreciates
for its unostentatious yet distinct style as well as its relatively low carbon
footprint. She wears in-the-know brands like Missoni, Tory Burch and Isabel
Marant.
SATVA Persona 2: Authentic Aubrey
Thank You!
