2. DEAR TRAVELER:
Embark is not just a company – it is a philosophy.
And our ultimate goal is to explore the ends of
the earth, finding the most authentic adventures
in the most remote corners of the world and
bringing them to you.
We are a team that lives and breathes travel;
first and foremost we take the time to learn what
you want, and as adventurers ourselves with
hundreds of trips between us, we understand
that you are travelers, not tourists.
We want to help get you off the beaten path,
affordably, developing unique itineraries
that are right for you, and at the same time
consistently direct as much as we can to the
local communities and peoples we enjoy
during our travels. The bottom line is that we
believe in the places where we travel, and this
includes paying fair wages and supporting the
environments we get to enjoy.
Every year Embark adds new adventure travel
destinations to our list, continually refining and
expanding life-changing trips in remote corners
of the world. Learn more about our treks, safaris,

3. Embark leads adventure
travelers on a variety of
treks deep into remote
valleys and high along
mountain passes all over the world. We bring a
particular passion to routes in Nepal and Bhutan
on some of the classics, such as Everest Base Camp,
Annapurna Circuit, and the Chomlohari Trek -- but
also lead travelers through several other more remote
treks, such as Mustang, Langtang and the Druk
Path. We also lead treks in many other destinations,
including Tibet, India, Tanzania, and beyond.
At Embark, we offer:
- Flexible and customized itineraries
- Both camping and home stay options
- Additional events to explore local cultures
- Option to join existing group or form your own
- Unparalleled access to locals’ homes
One of our main goals at Embark is to delve into local
culture. We believe that by exploring the local culture,
we provide a more three-dimensional experience. For
example, on many of our treks we are welcomed into
people’s homes for meals or dancing. Time and again,
Embark travelers rave about this rare access to the local
cultures that enrich the places we explore.
We encourage trekkers of all walks of life, from
beginners just getting off the couch to world-class
athletes with years of trekking experience. Whatever
your needs, we will support you every step of the way.
4. Imagine an adventure
so captivating that you
yearn for the 5 a.m.
wake-up call. On our
safaris in Africa you will
wake to the beating heart of the continent, alive
and fascinating.
Prepare yourself to experience the bush of Africa in its
raw, uncensored entirety as you become increasingly
attached to the litter of lion cubs by the minute, your
heart races for the wildebeest desperately fleeing the
leopard, and your mind rushes to comprehend the
skillful tactics of the wild dogs. The unpredictable
adventure of tracking and observing Africa’s wildlife
will quickly develop into a lifestyle that you’ll want to
permanently adopt.
At Embark, we offer:
- Exploration of the world-famous Serengeti
National Park and Ngorongoro Crater in search
of the Great Migration
- World-class guides who know how to find what
you’re looking for
- Safety combined with up-close-and-personal
wildlife interaction
- Comfortable vehicles and tented lodges to rest after
a long day on the prowl
- Adventures in the more remote, less touristy areas
- Cultural visits to tiny villages, indigenous tribes,
local markets, and more
Early morning hot tea and warm bites greet you in
the wildlife lodge as you watch the savannah unveil
itself in the rising sun – and sun-downers drinks at
sunset will close the day that you never want to end. It
won’t stop there, though, as you drift off to the distant
sounds of lions roaring with visions of what is in store
the next day.
5. Expeditions are at

10 years.
Since this founding, we have lead expeditions
all around the world, from trips to Nepal’s
Everest Base Camp to remote expeditions along
the high plateaus of Tibet. At Embark, we love
the challenge of putting together large-scale
expeditions with complicated logistics all over
the world, as well as the intimacy of organizing
smaller groups with specific goals and needs.

experiences a traveler can have. Enjoy drives into
unexplored territories well off the beaten path.

markets will help color in the lines of the essence
of the place you have traveled so far to see.
7. TESTIMONIALS
“Climbing Kilimanjaro and going on a safari
was a dream of mine, and Embark made it so
much more than I could have imagined! We
could tell our guides, cooks and porters were the
best trained on the trail. I will never forget the
care and friendship they offered us. Every detail
was thought of and we felt safe. We enjoyed
every aspect of the Tanzanian country, animals,
mountain, culture and its people. So glad we
found you!”
