2. SYNOPSIS
In our movie we will be doing a cat in the hat spinoff named ape in the cape,
our main characters are the ape, Adele and Darnell, and also Ted
Shackleford. In this movie, the parents of Adele and Darnell are both at work
and are being looked after by ted, their babysitter when the Ape arrives and
tells the children that they are needed for a top secret mission in Columbia to
stop two drug lords. They find the base where the lords are hiding and break
in, they then proceed to capture the lords, torture them and then murder
them. The kids are taken home back to the sleeping babysitter just before the
parents arrive back home.
3. ACT 1
The movie starts with an establishing shot of the seemingly happy city of
Saskatoon where we see people driving around, but also get a glimpse of
backstreets in the foreground where people are being mugged. We then move
to the happy well decorated house of the children where we see the parents
leaving and ted arriving. They settle down and we cut to around and hour
later where ted is asleep and the children are sitting, looking extremely
bored which is when the ape comes charging in, they get up to some innocent
hijinks in the house and then the ape tells the children about the mission.
4. ACT 2
They leave the house quietly to avoid waking their sitter and move to a
spaceship looking aircraft which, on the journey, they are told more in detail
about the mission, but the children are completely oblivious to what he is
saying. When they arrive they see a huge gaping hole in the side of a
mountain which they land just beside, undetected. They then proceed to
infiltrate the base, fight some of the bodyguards and then break in to the
drug lords’ office.
5. ACT 3
When they break in, the children find out that their parents are brutal
Columbian drug lords. The ape then finds his arch enemy Curious George,
they then proceed to battle outside the office and they are both left rolling on
the floor. The parents tell the children that they now know to much and then
kill them. The ape wakes up and kills the parents for revenge. We then
switch back to the sitter who wakes up confused seeing as the house is in a
mess and the kids are nowhere to be seen. He then goes upstairs to see the
words why written in blood on the wall.
