2. 1. ‘She’s casual’ –The Hunna
We have chosen this song as a potential choice for
our music video because we liked the way the beat
changed near the beginning to create contrast in
sound. We thought this was interesting and we got a
couple of ideas that used the sound in order to create
some interesting visual elements.
3. 2. ‘Bad for you’ –The Hunna
We liked this song because we felt it had an
interesting beat to it and the rhythm didn’t
appear too fast or slow.We want a song that
has a consistent level of energy throughout
whilst also varying a little in order to remain
interesting and allow us to vary in the way we
shoot the video.
We have the most ideas for this song at the
moment.
4. 3. ‘Bang Bang’ – LawrenceTaylor
We liked the fact that this song is quite different
to the others in the sense that it isnt as intese and
has more of a somber tone to it which means that
the energy levels within the song would be a lot
lower so it would be slightly easier to keep
something consistent in the video.
However with a song like this it’s harder to create
something that remains interesting to an
audience as there isn’t much of a variation to keep
it interesting.
5. 4. ‘Stay with me’ –The Amazons
We like the initial sound of this song as it has
the grunginess of the guitar that helps to
convey the kind of tone we want to create in
our own video. However there isn’t much
more of a variation throughout the whole
song which we feel might get slightly boring,
especially when trying to create new ideas
and ‘scenes’ almost throughout the video in
order to generate and retain audience
interest.
6. 5. ‘Come a little closer’ – Cage the
elephant
We like the way that this song sounds a
little quirkier than the others and
doesn't’t have a conventional indie sound
as such. The lyrics and the way that the
song changes so much shows potential
as well as the way the original video has
so many different interpretations shows
us we can go down any route that we feel
would be interesting when choosing a
theme or narrative for the music video.
