3. PROJECT BACKGROUND: This Studio
Project was designed to teach the
concept of collaboration between
Architecture, Landscape Architecture
and Interior Design Students. The
focus of each group was being able to
create a unified project that could be
used as plans for the new Dallas
Holocaust Museum location. The
purpose of the project was to develop
a concept and design a new
Holocaust Museum. The concept for
this project was the idea of “Rise” and
playing off the multiple situations and
the people that experienced or
created a rise up against certain the
Nazis or events. Partial credit on all
work to Architect Student: Abraham
Gutierrez Interior Design Students:
Shannon Carl and Michelle Dupont
and Landscape Architecture Students:
Miranda Cochran and Robert Roberts.
This project used AutoCAD, Revit, and
Photoshop to complete it.

PROJECT BACKGROUND: This Studio
Project was designed to teach the
basics of Revit as well as create a
project following the guidelines of the
NEXT competition. The purpose of the
project was to create an Educational
space for a Liberal Arts College in
Norfolk, Virginia and create several
different spaces needed and found on
college campuses including individual
study areas, private and public group
meeting areas. The beginning of the
project required research of Virginia
and the typical architecture found
there as well as research Liberal Arts
colleges and what they consisted of.
The concept for this project was the
idea o raindrops and how they easily
break into several drops but also
easily merge into one big raindrop as
well. This project used Revit and
Photoshop.

project to potentially be used by
the local Habitat for Humanity. The
plans were to be used to build a
home for the Wounded Warriors
Association. The purpose of the
project was to create Electrical
Data Plans, Dimension Plans, and
Floor Plans. The beginning of the
project required multiple space
planning and problem solving
ideas to best fit the wish list of the
client and meeting city lot codes
for the site. This project used hand

PROJECT BACKGROUND: This Studio
Project was designed to incorporate
the full design process beginning with
programming and ending with
construction documents and
specifications. The purpose of the
project was to provide renovation
ideas for a skilled nursing floor in a
retirement community in Lubbock,
Texas. This project required code
research for the appropriate building
type and applied it to the existing
features and issues that were present
in the existing building. The concept
for this project was inspired by the
American National Park posters and
focused on the timeless and relaxing
frame of mind they provide. This
project used Revit, AutoCad, and
some Photoshop.
