Lena Pope Hosts Free Event: Blessing of the Animals
FORT WORTH (Sept. 16, 2016) – Lena Pope will host a free event, Blessing of the Animals, at
2:30 p.m. on Oct. 2 in the courtyard of the Mary Leonard Community Chapel. This family-
friendly event encourages attendees to bring their pets for individual blessings.
“Pets are a great bonding tool for parents and kids.” Todd Landry, Lena Pope CEO said. “Our
goal at Lena Pope is to provide parents with information and programs that help them build
strong families.”
There will be numerous activities and giveaways for families and pets, including crafts for kids
and a pet photo booth. Rescue groups will provide low cost vaccines for pets, representatives of
different animal organizations will share beneficial information on caring for pets, and vendors
will have pet supplies for sale.
Lena Pope representatives will provide information and tips on the benefits of pet ownership for
children. Attendees must have dogs on leashes and other animals in travel carriers. Goodie bags
will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
