2. Who We Are
 An Agency set up to encourage, promote and
coordinate investment activities in the State with a
view to stimulating economic growth of the State.
 A veritable platform for interaction between the
investing public and the State Government.
 An organisation interested in the improvement of the
quality of lives of the citizenry through creation of
source of wealth

3. Our Vision
 ``To be a vehicle of sustainable economic development
of Ekiti State with a view to positioning the State
amongst the most developed States in the Country.

4. Our Mission
 To act as an economic catalyst stimulating real and
sustainable rapid industrialization of the state, thereby
creating opportunities for wealth creation for the
citizens and economic growth for the State.

5. Our Objectives
 1: To contribute to sustainable development of
Ekiti State through generation of profitable
investments, maximization of return on investment
and acting as catalyst for investments.
2: To support the State government's key goals of
employment generation, poverty alleviation and
improvement in quality of life of citizenry.

7. Functions of the Agency
 Coordination and monitoring of all enterprises promotion
activities in the State
 Initiate and provide support measures that will enhance
the investment climate in the State for all categories of
investors
 Promote investments in and outside the State through
effective promotional means
 Identify specific projects and secure interested investors for
such projects
 Provide input into Government policies on
Industrialization
 Disseminate information about investment opportunities
in the State to all stakeholders

9. Priorities – Big Projects
 Main priorities will be to focus on the rapid
industrialization of the State through 3 major
approach :
 Resuscitation of all moribund industries scattered
across the State
 Optimization of the output of the ones operational
currently for maximum impact
 Setting up of new large scale industries in strategic
areas of the state

10. Priorities – Low Hanging Fruits
 This will focus on developing Small and Medium scale
enterprises across the State. This will be executed
strategically through:
 Upgrading existing SME´s for better efficiency and
output
 Setting up new ones through empowerment schemes
 Reviving moribund ones through fund injection

13. Our Activities So Far
 Production of EEDA Brochure:- First of its kind in Ekiti
State.
 Ekiti – ODUA Business Enterprise Centre. (Old Textile):- A
business hub that will accommodate; Skill acquisition
centre, Builders mart, Industrial park Artisan village
 Dangote Cement Depot:- The facility at Iworoko road can
accommodate 250 trailers of cement. The warehouse and
the office complex are completed for commissioning by HE
during his 1 year in office.
 Agric Enterprise / NDE (229 youths):- 229 Youths have
been trained for 4 months in Agric Enterprise such as
Piggery, Snairy, Horticulture, poultry, Goat and Sheep
rearing, Honey bee making etc. This batch will graduate 2nd
week in October during Mr Governor’s 1 year in office.

14. EEDA Activities Cont´d
 Training of Okada Riders to go back to their vocations:-
This was successful, 100 people were trained and about 20
have gone back to their vocations.
 A nite with Mr Governor & Captains of Industry:- This was
the first of its kind in Nigeria, bringing Captains of
Industry under one roof. No Governor in Nigeria has ever
done this. Hitherto, about 6 corporate bodies
(manufacturing) have indicated their Investment interest
in Ekiti State; 3 of them had actually visited Ekiti State after
the programme.
 Succession planning:- Successful completion of succession
planning Seminar for business owners in Ekiti State.

 Approval to establish Flea market
 Car mart (Elizade Toyota):- Workshop & showroom:-
Chief Ade Ojo, Chairman Toyota Elizade has indicated
interest to establish showroom & workshop for Toyota
products
 Meat processing plant in Ekiti State (India valley
meat, Alaska, USA)
 Cashew processing factory (raw material research &
Development council):- Efforts are in top gear.
 Pineapple outgrowers scheme in Omuo Ekiti:-
Discussion has reached an advance level.

 Training of graduate engineers (Prototype
Engineering):- 32 Ekiti Graduates in engineering will
be trained by Prototype Engineering.
 SMEs empowerment (14 were given N20million, 71 are
currently being processed).
 Over 250 applications sent to BOI for empowerment.
