The CashBack for Creativity programme will allocate £3 million over three years from 2014-2017 across all art forms. It has three strands: 1) The CashBack for Creativity Open Arts Fund will provide up to £10,000 to local organizations for arts activities. 2) The CashBack for Creativity Strategic Fund will improve skills and confidence through learning projects with select organizations. 3) The CashBack for Creativity Training and Employability Strand will develop tailored training programs in creative industries through partnerships with further education and higher education institutions.

2. Overview of CashBack for Creativity
The £3 million CashBack for Communities grant is being allocated across all art forms through the CashBack for
Creativity programme over three years from 2014 - 2017.
Phase 3 of the CashBack for Creativity programme will deliver three strands that contribute directly to the
aims of the CashBack programme:
1. The CashBack for Creativity Open Arts Fund
The CashBack for Creativity Open Arts Fund will be delivered in partnership with YouthLink Scotland. This
programme will allow local organisations across the country to apply for funding of up to £10,000 to deliver a
range of high quality arts activities (dance, drama, film, literature, music, visual arts) in areas where there is
identified need.
2. The CashBack for Creativity Strategic Fund
The CashBack for Creativity Strategic Fund will deliver a programme of learning and developmental activities
which improve skills and confidence, but also raise aspirations and provide pathways for further learning,
training, education and employment. This fund will be delivered through a portfolio of projects in partnership
with a range of carefully selected organisations.
3. The CashBack for Creativity Training and Employability Strand
The CashBack for Creativity Training and Employability Scheme will develop specially tailored Creative
Industries training programmes in partnership with FE and HE institutions across the country. This programme
will be delivered in partnership with the College Development Network and participants will be referred
through liaison with youth agencies.

5. 2014 -16 CashBack for Creativity Training and Employability Strand
The CashBack for Creativity Training and Employability Scheme will develop specially tailored Creative
Industries training programmes in partnership with Further Education and Higher Education institutions across
the country.
In partnership with College Development Network and Skills Development Scotland, 3 FE institutions have
been identified to develop specially tailored Creative Industries training programmes for young people across
the country.
The FE institutions identified as potential CashBack for Creativity Training and Employability partners to date
are as follows: Glasgow Clyde College, Forth Valley College and Dundee and Angus College.
Glasgow Clyde College has been awarded £100,000 to develop a project that will be delivered from 2014 -
2016 based at Dumfries House in Cumnock, Ayrshire.
The engagement will be with local schools and youth groups bringing them into the centre to experience
industry processes and projects ranging from creative development including textile skills, photography, film,
journalism, team working, industry awareness sessions and engagement with inspiring, successful
practitioners from a range of companies.
