 It is the Power of God unto salvation for everyone who believes (Romans 1:16)! It has the power to save those who
do not believe but it is the power of God unto salvation for those who keep on believing.
 It demonstrates the need of a Savior. There are many religions out in the world today that offer salvation but can
never save. Christ is the only one that truly saves (John 14:6; Acts 4:32; 2 Timothy 2:5)!
 The Misconception:There are believers out there who think that the Gospel is only for those who do not believe.
However, the Gospel is for believers too! Believers need it just as much as unbelievers do. The Gospel needs to be

2. good news to us for it to be good news to unbelievers! It is good news because believers benefit from it! Salvation
is the benefit of the Gospel! What it did for you then (being justified), what it is doing for you now (being sanctified),
and what it will do for you in the future (being glorified).
 It is humbling to know that God’s grace is free and cannot be earned or attained (Ephesians 2:8-9). It is extended to
all who respond to it through faith and repentance. Religion is human attainment (What must I do to inherit Eternal
Life?) while Christianity is divine achievement (It is finished!).
 Those who believe no longer need to feel shame, fear, guilt, and condemnation. They can boldly come to the throne
of Grace that we may receive mercy and find grace in our time of need (Hebrews 4:16).
 THE APPLICATION:
 We need to remind ourselves daily of the Gospel (reading, hearing, believing, and obeying the Gospel). Just
because we are saved does not mean we are too good for it nor are we too bad for it! “The Gospel needs to be good
news to us or else it ceases to be good news to the World” -Scott Harris.
 Two things God reminds us all throughout the Old andNew Testament:
 Do not be afraid!
 Do not forget!
 What are some things that can make us forget the Lord? (Some examples):
 Whenever we face suffering and trials in our lives, the Gospel always reminds us of our meaning, purpose,
identity, and provision in Christ. It gives us the strength and endurance we need to persevere in our faith.
THINGS THAT CAN MAKE US FORGET THE LORD REMEMBERING THE LORD
 The Anxiety of Suffering and Trials
 The Trust in Idols (person, thing, or concept)
 The Bondage of Sin (habitual sin)
 The Spirit of Pride and Self-sufficiency
 The Pressure and Opposition of Persecution
 Remembering The Lord Jesus Sustains and
Sympathizes
 Remembering The Lord Jesus Satisfies and is
Sovereign
 Remembering the Lord Jesus Sanctifies,
Cleanses, and Secures
 Remembering The Lord Jesus Saves and is All-
Sufficient
 Remembering the Lord Jesus Sends and
Strengthens us to do ministry
 The Gospel motivates and equips us for ministry. It gives us passion to want to go out and share it!
 The Gospel gives us hope in this fallen world and to keep us from feeling despair and uncertainty. We need to
remind ourselves daily of the Gospel because we are too quick to forget it! Too often, we are constantly
bombarded by the daily distractions of the world.
 What are the distractionsof the world? (Mark 4:19; Matthew 13:22; Matthew 6:25-34):
 The cares of the world (stress on the job, daily necessities to be met, relationship issues, etc.)
 The deceitful desire for riches (other than being content with what you have) and for other things (other than God)
that leads to many sorrows and pain.
 The uncertainty of tomorrow and the future
 “Donot let thenoise of theworld keepyoufrom hearing the shout of the Gospel”!
 The Gospel makes us forever thankful to God. We are not just forgiven! We are grateful for being forgiven!
 We remember the Gospel every time we partake the Lord’s communion with one another!
 The Lord’sCommunion reminds us of four things (1 Corinthians 11:23-26):
 REMEMBERING THE LORD’S TRIUMPHANT DEATH: It symbolizes what Jesus did for us on the cross. Bread
representing His Body being broken for us and the Fruit of the Vine (juice) which represents His Blood being shed
for us.
 REMEMBERING THE LORD’S TRIUMPHANT RETURN- It is a proclamation to us that we proclaim Jesus’ death until
He returns on the day where He would reunite with His bride (The Church)!

3.  REMEMBERING SELF-EXAMINATION- It is all about self-examination to see if we are in right standing/right
relationship with God (that is trusting in Christ alone for salvation and living the life of total surrender and
obedience to Him). It is all about repentance and confessing sins before God before partaking in the bread and the
juice.
 REMEMBERING UNITY IN THE CHURCH- It is all about maintaining unity with other believers through loving,
serving, and submitting to one another in the name of Christ.
 The Gospel is for the here and now! We proclaim the Gospel on Earth just as much as it is praised in Heaven!
LET THISBE REMEMBERED:
 If we forget that we are under Grace,
 Then we are quick to being under the Law.
 If we forget the True Gospel that saved us,
 Then we are quick to follow and believe another Gospel that will deceive and condemn us.
 If we forget the One True God,
 Then we are quick to worshipping idols.
 If we forget the Holy Spirit and Him guiding us into all truth (the Word of God),
 Then we are quick to follow another spirit that will lead us into all error.
 If we forget the work of Christ,
 Then we are quick to believing that we can save ourselves by our good works.
 If we forget the person of Christ,
 Then we are quick to believing and following another Christ that cannot save us.
2. DO NOT TAKE FOR GRANTED THE GOSPEL OF GRACE!
 THE SCRIPTURE VERSES: Romans 6:1-23; Galatians 5:1-26; Hebrews 12:1; Ephesians 4:17-32; Colossians 3:1-17; 2
Corinthians 5:14-15
 THE IMPORTANCE:
 Although Grace is a gift, it is not cheap! It cost God dearly by giving up His Only Begotten Son to take our place of
punishment on the cross. Do not take grace too far or you will be too far from grace!
 Two things we should not take lightly of:
 GRACE(Abusing Christian liberty/Using Grace as a license to sin)
 SIN (Underestimating its power of deception and corruption in our lives)
 Grace is not a license to sin but to overcome sin in Christ (Romans 6:1; Romans 6:15)! Grace is not a safety net for
you to fall into sin, make an excuse to sin, and a free pass for your disobedience! It requires wise and responsible
stewardship! It sets us free from the power and penalty of sin so that we can live our freedom to serve Him and
carry out His purposes.
 Christ came to take away all sin and not just to take away some sin (John 1:29; 1 John 3:5). Repentance is to turn
from something (sin and self) and faith is turning toward someone (toward God)! It is not to turn from something
and then later go back to! That is not true repentance!
 You are either dead to sin or you are dead in sin (Romans 6:11)! “Kill sin or sin will kill you!” (John Piper)
 Friendship with the world makes you an enemy of God (James 4:4).
 Love for the world meansin John 2:16:
 1. The Lust of the Flesh (i.e., sexual perversion, sexual immorality, adultery)
 2. The Lust of the Eyes (i.e., coveting money, possessions, and other things)
 3. The Pride of Life (i.e., greed, arrogance, power, and self-promotion)
 You are to live holy just as God is holy (2 Timothy 1:9; Ephesians 1:4; 1 Peter 1:15-16)! Jesus is not just a Savior! He is
both Lord and Savior!
 Reality Check: Do not be deceived! You cannot be a Christian for one day (Sunday) and live the rest of the week like
the devil.

4.  THE APPLICATION:
 Now that you are saved, you are free from the power of sin. However, just because you are saved does not mean
you are free to sin and to live the way you want to live. Because of what Christ did for us, let us continue to give our
lives daily to Him. Christ died and took our place and in turn we must die to self and live for Him.
 The Christian walk is not about trying (to better yourself)! It is all about dying (to self)!
 THE DIFFERENCE: DIVING INTO SIN VS FALLING INTO SIN
PERSON DIVING INTO SIN
The Acknowledgement: Gives in but doesnot confess or
repents of sin.
The Action: Continues to sinwillfully andpersistently.
The Attitude: Does not fear God and cares less about the

isolation or lack of fellowship andtrust with other believers).
Loves to conceal it rather than being exposed and rebuked.
Refuses tobe disciplined, corrected, and or seek godly
counsel from others.
The Aspiration: Toplease/satisfy the flesh as much as they
can without consequences.
PERSON FALLING INTO SIN
The Acknowledgement: Gives in but confesses and repents of
sin (to God).
The Action: Struggles with sin but continuesto resistandflee
from it.
The Attitude: Fears God and cares about the relationships their
sin affects and the consequences it produces.
The Affection: Desires andloves God but wrestleswith it!They
hate their sin!
The Accountability: Confesses their sin to those whom they
trust. Acceptsdiscipline, correction, and seeks godly counsel.
The Aspiration: Desires to please God rather thanpleasingand
satisfying the flesh.
 THE WAR WITHIN: WHO LIVES INSIDE YOU? (Romans 7:24-25; Galatians 5:16-18):
 Is it the Holy Spirit within you = produces the Fruits of the Spirit (life of obedience to God)
 Or is it the Flesh within you = produces the Works of the Flesh (life of disobedience to God)
THE CROSS: THE PLACE OF DEATH

 The Test ofConduct: What does unbelievers see in you?
 A Mirror/Splitting Image- If your conduct and character does not reflect a changed life, then they would see a
direct reflection of themselves in you. If you live, think, and talk like them, then they would think you have not
changed at all and they will see how less Christ means to you. If they see that, they will be compelled to be drawn
away from Christ and gives them the opportunity to blaspheme God.
 A Window/Image of Christ- If your conduct and character reflect a changed life, then they would see Christ living
inside you. If you live, think, and talk like Christ, then they would see how much Christ means to you. If they see
that, they will be drawn to know Christ and glorify God because of your changed life.

5. The Test ofConduct: What donew believers see in you (Matthew 18:6-8, Mark 9:42-48; Luke 17:1-4)?
 A Guide- If your conduct and character is constantly being conformed into the image of Christ, then they would be
inspired to follow your example. If you live, think, and talk like Christ, then they would see how much Christ means
to you in which they would want to know and love Christ more.
 A Stumbling Block- If your conduct and character does not reflect a changed life, then you may cause them to
stumble in their faith. If you live, think, and talk like them, then they would think you have not changed at all and
they will see how less Christ means to you. If they see that, they will either doubt that you are even saved or worse
they depart from the faith entirely.
The Test ofConduct: What does God see in you?
 IN GOD’S EYES: DOES HE SEE HIS SON IN YOU? ARE YOU ALIVE (LIVING FOR HIM) OR DEAD TO HIM (LIVING FOR THE
WORLD)?
 IN THE WORLD’S EYES: DO THEY SEE YOU AS A TRUE DISCIPLE OF CHRIST? OR ARE YOU AN IMPOSTOR? ARE YOU
ALIVE (LIVING FOR THE WORLD) OR DEAD TO THEM (LIVING FOR GOD)?
CHRISTIAN LIBERTY SHOULD NOT BE ABUSED:
1. To cause another brother or sister in Christ to
stumble in their faith
2. To flaunt it with arrogance
3. To be used as a cloak or license to sin

 THE IMPORTANCE OF SELF-EXAMINATION:
I. God knows our hearts and thoughts more than we can even know it (Psalms 44:21; Psalm 139:1-2; Jeremiah
17:9-10; 1 John 3:20).
II. God tests our motives even though we may think we are pure (Psalm 38:9; Proverbs 16:2; Proverbs 21:2).
III. We must examine ourselves to see whether we are in the Christian faith (2 Corinthians 13:5).
IV. We must guard ourselves from self-deception (1 John 1:8; 10; Matthew 15:8-9; Matthew 7:21-23; 1 Corinthians
6:9-10; James 1:22-26).

10. V. We must watch our life and doctrine closely because if we persevere in them, we will not only save ourselves
but also our hearers (1 Timothy 4:16).
VI. We are to keep in step or bear fruits with repentance daily (Matthew 3:7-8; Luke 13:6-10; Acts 26:20).
VII. Self-examination should be measured by the Word of God (Psalm 19:7-14; Psalm 139:23-24; Psalm 119:11;
Psalm 119:133)
VIII. Self-examination should be guided by the Holy Spirit (to convict you of any unconfessed or hidden sin-John
16:8; Hebrews 12:5-8; 1 John 1:9)
IX. Self-examination should never be used to condemn yourself (Romans 8:1; 1 John 3:20-21).
X. Partaking in the Lord’s Communion involves self-examination of yourself (1 Corinthians 11:17-34).
 THE IMPORTANCE OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
XI. We must confess our sins to one another (James 5:16).
XII. We must help and restore one another when we sin (Galatians 6:1-2; James 5:19-20)
XIII. We must surround ourselves with other believers (especially matured in the faith) to encourage and exhort
us (Proverbs 27:17; Hebrews 10:24-25).
XIV. We need to rebuke one another gently and lovingly if one of us refuses to repent from sin. If one repents, we
must receive them (Luke 17:3-4).
XV. Church discipline must be carried out if one chooses to not repent of sin (Matthew 18:15-17; 1 Corinthians 5:1-
13; 2 Corinthians 2:5-8).
XVI. Seek out wise counsel from matured believers in the faith (Proverbs 11:4; Proverbs 15:22; Proverbs 24:6).
3. DO NOT GRUMBLE AGAINST THE GOSPEL OF MERCY!

 THE IMPORTANCE:
 Salvation is for anyone and everyone! The Lord does not want anyone to perish but that all should come to
repentance (2 Peter 3:9).
 With God, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26)! There is no sin so small that you do not need to repent of or be
forgiven nor is there no sin so great that it cannot be repented of or be forgiven!
 God shows no partiality when it comes to His mercy! God can show mercy on anyone He wants to (Romans 9:18).
All of us are not worthy! All of us cannot earn it! All of us do not deserve it! But instead, He gives it freely! His mercy
is a gift and not an obligation to mankind.

 What ifthe most wickedperson in the world turns to God?The same mercy He gave us is the same mercy He
extends to the most wicked person on earth in hopes they may come to believing and obeying the Gospel! At the
foot of the cross, it is ground level. No one is too good for Jesus nor is anyone too sinful for Jesus to save!
 The unbelieving world sees the Gospel as a controversial message and fail to see it as God’s message of mercy to
all! Why?
 Controversy #1:All have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God (Romans 3:23)! No one is good enough to go to
Heaven (Psalm 53:3; Romans 3:12)! Repentance and Faith in Christ alone will get you to Heaven (Acts 20:21)! For
example, the nicest and moralist person on earth who dies without repenting and placing their faith in Christ will
spend eternity in Hell! Hell is full of people who think they deserve Heaven apart from Christ! Heaven is full of
people who think they deserve Hell but have been saved by Christ!

11.  Controversy #2:The most wicked and vile person can be saved if they repent and place their faith in Christ! For
example, the worst criminal in history or the wickedest person on their death bed who dies as a repentant person,
trusting in Jesus alone, is saved. Praise God that His mercy is wide and He shows no partiality!
 Consider those in the Bible who were vile and wickedbut repentedand receivedmercyfrom God:
 1. The King and the people of Nineveh (they were known to be very evil and cruel to those of whom they conquered
especially the Israelites). Hence why Jonah hated them and anticipated for their destruction.
 2. King David (after committing adultery with Bathsheba and murdering Uriah her husband)
 3. King Manasseh (did more wicked than the nations God destroyed before the people of Israel)
 4. Thief on the cross (we can assume his crime was that of robbing and killing people)
 5. Zacchaeus (chief tax collector known for extortion and embezzling with people’s taxes)
 6. Saul who became Paul (he approved of Stephen’s killing as well as arresting believers and sentencing them to
death).
 7. Matthew (he was a tax collector like Zacchaeus who was also known for extortion and embezzling with people’s
taxes)
 God can forgive and change even the most wicked and evil person on earth. The cross gives anyone who
believes access to God through repentance and faith. “Itis notthe magnitude of sins, but the magnitude of God’s
mercy thatmattersfor salvation” -Trevin Wax.
 God is not concerned with the outward appearance but is concerned with the heart
(1 Samuel 16:7).
 God helps those who humbles themselves! He will not turn away those with a broken and contrite heart towards
Him (Psalm 51:17; Psalm 34:18)!
 We can only judge with righteous judgment by examining their fruit (to see if their lives have been transformed by
Christ-Matthew 7:16-20 and Galatians 5:19-20; 22-23) but we are strictly forbidden to make passive judgments.
“Any and all judgments and evaluations of another’s actions should come from a place of humility and care for
that person rather than a place of haughty condemnation” (Excerpt taken from Judging Others in Light of Christ’s
Command to Judge Not by Ryan Johnson).
 Beware of Limited Atonement (Hyper-Calvinist Theology)-This theology derives from the 5 points of
Calvinism (founded by John Calvin). It teaches that Jesus only died for the elect (those chosen by God) and not for
everyone. However, Christ’s atonement is sufficient to pay for all sin and the offer of salvation is extended to all.
 Beware how you treat your enemies!-The world tells us to pay back those who wrong, mistreat, insult, and, or
hate you (Proverbs 20:22; Proverbs 24:29). We are told that revenge is a meal best served cold but that should not
be the Christian motto to live by. However, God is the one who repays (Deuteronomy 32:35; Romans 12:19) and that
the best way to defeat your enemies is to show kindness to them (in hopes of making them believers). We ought to
reflect the character of God in that He shows kindness to them in order to bring them to repentance (Romans 2:4;
2 Timothy 2:25). We run the risk of bringing harm to the cause of the gospel if we take revenge against them.
 Beware of Replacement Theology!-This theology essentially teaches that the Church replaces the Nation
Israel in God’s redemptive plan. It is unbiblical, unloving, and very dangerous to hold this view. It further endorses
antisemitic (hostility towards and discrimination against Jewish people) views and should be avoided at all cost. It
is very arrogant to think the Church is better than Israel or to think that God shows mercy to a particular people
and punishes the other. Sadly, many churches today err from the truth of Scripture and believe and teach this
theology. God is not done with the nation Israel (Romans 11:1-32)! He made a promise that can never be broken! He
is the God who keeps His Word! They are His chosen people! His mercy has and will ever be with them! Although
they may have rejected Jesus their Messiah and have been given over to spiritual blindness, God will save His
people in the end because He is merciful!
 THE APPLICATION:
 We should love both the Jewish people and our enemies:
 By praying for God’s mercy to be upon them in hopes they will believe and repent.
 By sharing the Gospel in hopes they may be saved and praise God for His mercy upon them.

12.  Stop comparing, scoffing, criticizing, and grumbling! Stop being the judge of people and let God be the judge! We
become skeptic when we see many celebrities and criminals coming to Christ! Instead, we should rejoice with the
angels in Heaven when one sinner repents (Luke 15:7; Luke 15:10).
 True Story 1:The infamous 90’s serial killer, cannibal, homosexual, and pedophile Jeffrey Dahmer repented and
got saved and was baptized while He was in prison. However, many people (then and now) do not believe he was
saved and considered His testimony to be a farce. Even some believe He became a Christian simply for a publicity
stunt. There is a biography series on Netflix that recently came out that is stirring up curiosity and controversy
surrounding his life when he committed the crimes as well as when he got saved while in prison. The question we
must ask ourselves is this: Is Jeffrey Dahmer in Heaven with the Lord despite all the evil he committed? The
answer is Yes! Why? Because His life was changed drastically when He came to know Christ. From being a serial
killer to becoming a saint! From being child of the devil to becoming a child of God! Before His death by the hands
of a fellow inmate, Jeffrey Dahmer was known to attend bible studies in prison as well as sharing the Gospel with
other prison inmates. The minister Roy Ratcliff even had this to say about him, “He was seekingredemption,” Mr.
Ratcliff says, recalling how Mr. Dahmer often spoke of being the worstof sinners. “He was seekingforgiveness.”
(Excerpt taken from He Befriended a Serial Killer, and Opened the Door to God by Dan Berry). The moral of the
story: God’s mercy is wide and not narrow! God owes no one anything! He gives His mercy to anyone who believes
in His Son! What part of the blood of Christ cannot save him (Jeffrey Dahmer), but can save you?”
 True Story 2:Anangry woman once called into a Christian radio broadcast and vented that she would rather go
to Hell than to go to Heaven knowing she will be surrounded with former serial killers, drug dealers, and sex
offenders. The moral of the story: Do not have the spirit of Jonah like this woman had!
 If we are not careful, we will make the same mistake:
 A political leader and or pastor to crash and burn because of a scandal or controversy
 Our enemies to get what they truly deserve (to repay evil for evil and insult for insult)
 A criminal to be put to death and or burn in Hell for their heinous and vile crimes (to suffer a cruel and unusual
execution).
 To rally and or proclaim a message of condemnation (Fire and Brimstone preaching) to the LGBTQ community or
movement
 To rally and or proclaim a message of condemnation to those who work at abortion clinics and to those who
support it.
 Who commits the unforgiveable sin?
 Those who think they have not committed the unforgiveable sin but have. They remain comfortable but should
ought to be frightened and concerned. They are those who will not be forgiven because they have been exposed to
the full exposure to the Gospel and the full revelation of God but willfully and continually denies them and rejects
Christ. The unforgiveable sin is unbelief!
 Those who think they have committed the unforgiveable sin but have not but should be comforted and reminded
their assurance in Christ. They will be forgiven because they have been exposed to the Gospel and the full
revelation of God and therefore continues in repentance and faith in Christ.
 Reality Check: What Assurance Do You Have?
 Remember this: We were just as sinful, wicked, fallen, and lost! We were just as worst as murderers (Ephesians
2:1-5; Colossians 2:13-14)! While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8)! The blood of Christ is

4. DO NOT GIVE UP SHARING THE GOSPEL OF PEACE!

 THE IMPORTANCE:
 Death happensto all and cannot be avoided- According to the statistics on world population review website,
about 332,648 deaths occur around the world every day. That is approximately 13,852 people around the world
dying every hour. It goes without saying that death is all around us and cannot be avoided. Everyone knows we will
all die (yet there a lot of people who refuse to believe it-see Hebrews 9:27; 1 Corinthians 15:22; Ecclesiastes 12:7;
Genesis 3:19). Life is fleeting and is but a vapor and a shadow (James 4:14; Psalm 27:1; Psalm 78:39; Psalm 144:4). In
a moment, a person can be living here on earth today and then dead and gone tomorrow (snatched away into
eternity). We should consider this as we share the Gospel to everyone we meet or know while we still can.

 Judgment Day awaitseveryone-There will be a judgment after death (Hebrews 9:27). Everyone will face God
on Judgment Day and will give anaccount. Everyone will be judged by Him according to how they lived their life on
earth and thus will be rewarded: Either eternal life and Heaven in receiving Christ (repentance and faith) and or
eternal damnation in Hell for rejecting Christ (persistent living in sin and refusing the Gospel)! Remember that
Jesus preached more about Hell than He did about Heaven (showing us the severity of not obeying and believing
the Gospel). We should consider this as we share the Gospel to everyone we meet or know while we still can.
WHAT IS JUDGMENT DAY? WHY IS JUDGMENT DAY NECESSARY?
Judgment Day will be:
1) A FULL JUDGMENT: FOR GOD SHOWS NO PARTIALITY!
It is a pronouncementof judgment upon all. No one will be exempted from
this day! It will be a day where everyone will face God and give an account
on how they lived theirlives on earth.
2) A FAIR JUDGMENT: FOR GOD IS HOLY AND JUST!
God is Just and He will pronounce ajust sentencing for all:
A) Eternal Torment and Punishment (Unbelievers) or Eternal Bliss and
Paradise (Believer)
B) Eternal Separation from His Presence (Unbeliever) or Eternal Fellowship
with Him (Believer)
C) Evil Works will be repaid (Unbeliever)/Good Works will be rewarded
(Believer)
3) A FIXED JUDGMENT: FOR GOD TRASCENDS TIME (HE SETS TIME AND IS
 Those who are living have not been judged yet. God is
gracious and merciful in that He is giving time for all to
repent and be saved.
 God’s judgment will not be deferredfor too long. He
extends His grace and mercy to alland He desires all to
be saved (Faith in His Son Jesus Christ) and not perish.
However, On Judgment Day,His grace and mercy will no
longer be extended (only His wrath will remain and be
poured out on those who refused His mercy and grace).
 The Righteousness of God will be displayed for all to
see. He judges the world in righteousness and all evil
will be restrained and eradicated!
 God’s promise of justice and consummation of all things
will be fulfilled. This is what all believers are

14.  No one is without excuse (Romans 1:19-20)-
 The Evidence of Creation: Creation itself declares there is a God who exists (Psalm 19:1)
 The Evidence of Morality: God gave every man a conscience (with knowledge) knowing good and evil (Romans
2:14-15).
 The Evidence of Eternity: God has put eternity in the hearts of every man (Ecclesiastes 3:11). Since the fall of man,
every person in the world have been subjected to the fear of death (Hebrews 2:15). Every person who ever lived
ponders about death or have taken an interest of the afterlife.
 The Evidence of Ongoing Missionary Work Around the World-God created the Church to send missionaries all over
the world to proclaim the Gospel! The Gospel has spread to every country, ethnicity, culture, and spoken in
thousands of languages all over the world.
 The Evidence of Unlimited Access to Information-We live in the age of advanced technology and information
(books, magazines, tracts, mail, television programs, phone apps, billboards, movies, radio broadcasts, internet,
etc.) that spreads the Gospel message all over the world.
 “What about those who never heardof Jesus”?
 As much as this can be a legitimate question, it is nothing more than a diversion to dodge the truth or a cover up
for their sin! The answer to this question is people are responsible to God for what God has already revealed to
them. If they willfully reject it; then God is just to condemn them to Hell for all eternity. “If we assume thatthose
who never hear the gospel are grantedmercy from God,we lose our motivationfor evangelism. We alsorun into a
terrible problem. If people who never hear the gospel are automatically saved, thenitislogical tomake sure no
one ever hears the gospel because then there would be a chance, they will rejectitandbe condemned” -Ronald
Nash.
 Valid Points AgainstThisArgument:
 Just because a lost person has access to the Gospel does not necessarily mean they will receive it. They still need
the Holy Spirit to illuminate them before they can receive the Gospel.
 Scripture teaches that the plan of salvation is offered to all! However, many will reject it while few will respond!
 The plan of salvation is not limited to certain nation or people! It includes all nations and people in the world!
 God does not send people to Hell simply because they never heard the name of Jesus. God sends people to Hell
simply for their sins and their constant rejection of the atoning work of His Son Jesus.
 God’s mercy is wide and He desires all to come to the saving knowledge of His Son Jesus (1 Timothy 2:4-5).
 It does not matter where or when a person is born. These truths remain the same all throughout time and history.
 Even if they had some kind of revelation about God, they will still suppress the truth through wickedness (sin).
 Even if they had some kind of revelation about God, they will continue to corrupt the knowledge they already have
about Him (by creating or believing in a false religious system).
 If ignorance lead to salvation, why even preach the Gospel?
 Sinning ignorantly is still considered to be sinning in the sight of God.
OVER TIME)!
God has set a day to judge all men and no one will be late for this appointed
judgment! No postponement! No bribes! No excuses! No rebuttal! No
exceptions! No attorney to defend you and object Him! Just you and God (the
Judge)!
4) A FINAL JUDGMENT: FOR GOD AVENGES THOSE WHO BELIEVE IN HIM!
God’s judgment and sentencing is final upon the individual. Unbelievers will
be terribly frightened on that day as He will not take back His Words and
there will be no second chances for them. There will be no appeal and no
other judge or higher court to overrule His verdict upon them. They will
agree that they deserve Hell for rejecting Him and will be thrown into Hell
forever. On the other hand, Believers will be handsomely rewarded and will
praise Him for being just. Also, He will avenge all believers who suffered
martyrdom and mistreatment from the hands of the lost and the wicked
(unbelievers).

 There will be full exposure on this day:

 The day Death (the last enemy) will be defeated and
eradicated forever!

15.  We as Christians should make sure everyone hears the Gospel (by sharing it) and not spend time debating about
the fate of those did not hear it.

 What about those in closed countries where the Gospel isnot well-receivedbut they are receiving
dreams or visions from God resultingin salvation?
I. Hebrews 1:1 reads, In the past, God had spoken to the Jewish ancestors through the prophets in many ways (i.e.,
through dreams and visions) but in these last days (present/future) He has spoken through His Son (Jesus) who
He appointed all things and through whom He made the universe.
II. God used visions in the case of Cornelius and Annanias (during the time of the early church). However, God used a
vision to lead Cornelius to Peter which Cornelius later heard and received the Gospel through his preaching (Acts
10:1-48). God used a vision to lead Annanias to Saul (Paul) to both heal his blindness and to have Paul be discipled
by him and other disciples in Damascus in knowing Christ (Acts 9:1-22). In conclusion, even if God used dreams or
visions today to reach people in closed countries, He will always lead them to the true knowledge of the Gospel
(i.e., missionary, radio broadcast, or watching a show or program on TV or phone device).
III. Dreams and visions cannot be trusted and such claims must be carefully examined and discerned. Six things
must be considered:
i. Most people who make such claims are often members of a cult or part of some false religious system.
ii. Most people who make such claims have a distorted view of God and end up starting a cult.
iii. Most people who make such claims are making it up to convince people that what they experienced is
true.
iv. Most people who make such claims make a profit out of it (through selling books, telling their story on TV
or Social Media Platforms, etc).
v. Most people who make such claims can be deceived by demons. We as Christians know that Satan and
his demons come as an angel of light and are known to deceived people through appearing in people’s
BEFORE CHRIST (THEN): AFTER CHRIST (NOW):
1. KNOWLEDGE OF GOD (CREATION)
2. KNOWLEDGE OF SIN (CONSCIOUS)

Give into Counterfeit Gospels).
vi. The Church exists to spread the message of the Gospel. Christ and the early Church made it very
important that the Gospel be preached to all. Faith comes by hearing and by hearing the Word of God
(Romans 10:17) and not by other means.
 God’s love for the lost should compel us to share it-
 God does not take pleasure in the death of the wicked (Ezekiel 33:11)
 God so loved the world that He gave His Only Begotten Son so that those who believe will not perish but have
eternal life (John 3:16)
 God desires all men to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4).
 We should love others enough to share them the Gospel so they can turn from the error of their ways, to save their
soul from death, and to cover over a multitude of sins (James 5:20).
 Speaking the truth in love should always be our motivation when sharing the Gospel to others (Ephesians 4:15)
 We should not condemn those who continually mock and reject it. Our love for them should cause us to grieve
over their rejection towards it.
 Jesus loved all people especially lost people. He had so much compassion for the lost (Matthew 9:35-38). Not only
did He perform miracles, signs, and healings. He loved lost people so much that He confronted them with the truth
(that is sharing the Gospel)!

 The Great Commission is a command and not asuggestion-
 We are responsible for sowing and watering the seed of the Gospel (1 Corinthians 3:6-8) and not to coerce and or
manipulate people. We are responsible for the delivery and the hearer is responsible to make a choice: Repent
and Believe the Gospel or Refuse and Reject the Gospel! There will be times where we may sow the seed and times
where we may water the seed where another has sown. There are times where we may share it with people who
we may never see again or times where we may be sharing with people that we are establishing relationships
with (taking some time for them to believe). The point is that the Gospel is being shared and spread regardless if
you are the Sower or the one who waters. We gather as the Church to feed (hear the word preached) and are sent
in the world to scatter the seed (the Gospel)! We water and sow! God grows!
 We are responsible to know and understand the Gospel ourselves! Lack of knowledge, understanding, and bad
theology of the Gospel can be hurtful and dangerous to yourself and to your hearers! If someone came up and told
you that they were going to die in 60 seconds, will you be able to share the Gospel with them in 60 seconds or less?
 We are responsible on how we conduct ourselves when sharing the Gospel! We need to be gentle, kind, quick to
listen, and slow to speak! Screaming, yelling, interrupting, and talking over someone while they are speaking,
being sarcastic, being arrogant, and talking down on someone will not get anyone to hear let alone give them a
chance to respond to it! The statement is true for us when it says “It’s not what you said, it’s how you said it”! The
Gospel will offend people but your behavior and attitude should not give offense! What people need is not a heated
debate but a witness encounter to the Gospel.
 We are responsible on how we engage, communicate, and or draw people to the Gospel! We are to communicate
the Gospel in such a way that they can understand and respond rightly to it (repentance and faith)! There are many
segue way methods people use to communicate the Gospel such as using gospel tracts, magic tricks, object
lessons, current affairs or headlines on the news, scientific facts, trivia questions, etc. However, the method being
used should always transition to the Gospel. We need to find common ground with people in order to communicate
or draw them to the Gospel!
 We are responsible to be missionaries in the area where we live and serve. Do not be fooled! Sharing the Gospel is
not the pastor, the youth pastor, and or the missionary’s job! It is your job to share it! The mission field is not
limited to being sent overseas to a foreign country! The mission field is your family, town, city, neighborhood,
school, and work place. Every Christian has been called by God (The Father), commissioned by Jesus (The Son),
and empowered by the Holy Spirit (The Spirit) to share the Gospel.

17.  We are responsible to not keep the Gospel to ourselves! The Gospel is not to be concealed but it is to be revealed!
The Gospel is not something to be withheld but it is meant to be shared! Refusing to share it indicates that we
value more of our own comfort and salvation over the souls of others. Consider when you got saved, you received
the Gospel with gladness because someone shared it with you. In turn, you are to give back by sharing it among
others in hopes they receive it gladness! After all, sharing is caring!
 We are responsible to know when to walk away when the Gospel is not being received. It is not unloving to walk
away when someone repeatedly scoffs and ridicules the Gospel. However, we should keep in mind that we should
always pray for those who do scoff and ridicule the Gospel (Matthew 10:14; Matthew 7:6).
 We are responsible for our motives in sharing it. Love and obedience are the primary motivation why we share the
Gospel to others. We should share it with good intentions. We need to guard ourselves from selfish motives when
we share it.
 How canwe know our motives are selfish when sharingit? Here are some examples:
 The Quota Motive: When we treat people like a number or a statistic. We care more about filling the pews in our
church to gather data rather than love and concern for their souls. It is all about counting people’s decisions made
by Christ rather than making them into disciples of Christ.
 The Bait and Switch Motive: When we share the Gospel like it was a sales pitch (intentionally or unintentionally) or
a pyramid scheme. We promise people that Jesus will give them what they want if only they just believe (under
false pretenses). Not only is this not biblical but it is dangerous and can lead people in becoming false converts
trusting in a false hope and not trusting alone in the Work and Person of Christ.
 The Turn or Burn Motive: When we dupe people into fearing more of Hell than the God who created Hell and not
sharing with them the other spectrum of the Gospel: God’s love, mercy, and grace. This motive is nothing more
than a fear or scare tactic that induces fear, paranoia, and despair in people. It paints a wrong picture of God being
a wrathful tyrant who is angry at everyone and wants to send people to Hell. Also, people are only going to look at
salvation as “fire-insurance” rather than trusting their salvation in Christ alone.
 The Love Wins Motive- When we dupe people into thinking that God is nothing more than a loving God who wants to
save everyone without them repenting and trusting in Christ alone. It does not matter what they believe and what
sinful lifestyle they are living! God’s love accepts, overcomes, and tolerates it! This motive is dangerous and
unbiblical! It avoids being rejected and having to offend anyone. It puts emphasis more on the fear of man than the
fear of God. If you are highlighting one attribute of God and neglecting the other attributes He possesses, than you
are not giving them the real God of the Bible but rather a false one.
 The Work for It Motive: When we make it a requirement for salvation. For example, Mormons and Jehovah’s
Witnesses believe that they need to go door to door to share “their gospel” in order to be saved. They are more
concerned about their salvation than the salvation of others. This motive is dangerous in that they teach others to
become law-keepers and to keep people away from knowing God’s grace and mercy through Christ. We also can
fall into this camp if we are not careful.
 The Who Can Boast the Most Motive: When we boast (intentionally and unintentionally) to other believers about
how many people we lead to Christ! We look down on those who are not as successful as we are at winning others
to Christ! We may also criticize other people’s methods of soul winning rather than critique our own.
 The Self-Glory Motive: When we become prideful and take the credit or glory for ourselves rather than giving
credit or glory to God when we lead a soul to Christ. Remember, salvation belongs to the Lord! Also, we need to be
careful when sharing our personal testimony because we can share it with selfish motives (unintentionally).
 We are responsible for meeting people where they are in life (1 Corinthians 9:19-23)- In order to be more effective
at sharing the Gospel with people, we need to meet them where they are in life. Sometimes, we need humility and
need to understand where they are coming from. We need to understand their upbringing, their beliefs, their
values, their opinions, their worldview, etc. in order to know and respect them as individuals and assess how we
can approach them with the Gospel. We need to present or share it in ways that is appropriate or relational to the
hearer without compromising it. Sometimes, it is better to ask questions and listen rather than answering their
questions and talking throughout the entire interaction. In that way, you come off as being respectful and loving
towards them (by valuing their opinions) which can make them be more receptive to the Gospel.

 People are looking for happiness, hope, meaning, purpose, and identity in all the wrong places-
 Every person in the world wants what will give them happiness, hope, meaning, purpose, and identity. Whether
seeking for their soul mate, place, or thing that will meet their wants, needs, and expectations. The reality is that
they will never find true satisfaction or relief if they continue to pursue it through addictions, possessions, and
people. The world is full of lies, broken promises, broken dreams, false advertisements, and false hopes. A life
without God is vanity (Ecclesiastes 1:2-8). Hence, we need to share the Gospel to such people to give them hope,
joy, meaning, purpose, and identity that is found only in Christ. He alone truly satisfies!

 The Early Church andChristians Throughout History died for the Gospel-
 The Gospel is the good news of the Blood Shed of our Lord Jesus Christ while the Church is birthed by the Blood
Shed of the Saints.
 They suffered and died horrendous deaths in order to stand up for the Gospel. None of them will die for a lie he/she
knows to be false. They knew what they believed was true!
 None of them renounced or were unashamed of Christ or His Gospel! Even though their oppressors would attempt
to break their spirits (through pain and torture), they would not give in! Even though their oppressors would give
them chances to renounce their faith in Christ, they would reject it!
 They considered it great joy and honor to suffer and die for the Lord Jesus Christ!
 Christian persecution did not stop the spreading of the Gospel. What it did was magnify the spreading of it even
further (as predicted by the Lord Jesus)!
 They are remembered for their courage and boldness amid the face of terror and evil by their oppressors. We
should be reminded and encouraged by this when sharing the Gospel!
 Their deaths were not in vain. In fact, they died so that we as Christians today continue to spread the Gospel.
 Christianity is by far the most persecuted religion in the world. Many Christian brethren around the world today
are being persecuted in their own countries and are dying for their faith in Christ. We as Christians who live in
non-persecuted countries should support our brethren through prayer and providing provisions through
churches and ministries supporting them and their endeavors to continue to spread the Gospel!
 THE APPLICATION:
 We need boldness to share it -
 We do not have a spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).

19.  We are not to be ashamed of the Gospel (Romans 1:16). Why? Because of:
 Its simplistic and straight-forward message that even a little child can understand and respond to it.
 Its supernatural power in converting a sinner.
 Its saving ministry in the lives of those who keep on believing.
 We are to be ready in and out of season when sharing it (2 Timothy 4:2). Be ready to give a man an answer to the
hope that lies within you with meekness and fear (1 Peter 3:15).
 What are some fears we mayface when sharingthe Gospel?
 The fear of not knowing what to say to people
 The fear of what people may say or think of you
 The fear of being rejected by people
 The fear of offending people
 The fear of being persecuted (ill treatment and hostility)
 The fear of being humiliated or ridiculed
 The fear of arguments and confrontation
 The fear of civil disobedience (getting arrested by Law Enforcement)
 The fear of being ignored, cancelled (cancel culture), and or avoided
 Be prepared in getting rejected since Christ was rejected! You will be rejected because you believe and proclaim
that Jesus is the only way to God and there is no other way!
 Be prepared in getting hated since Christ was hated! You will be hated because you will expose the evil and
darkness in people’s lives by sharing the light (the Gospel).
 Get used to being called names such as bigot, intolerant, judgmental, and Jesus’ freak. No servant is greater than
His master. Jesus was called many names by those who rejected and opposed Him for speaking the truth.
 Get used to offending people! For the message of the cross (the Gospel) is an offense (1 Corinthians 1:23; Galatians
5:7-15) and foolish to those who do not believe (1 Corinthians 1:18).
 The worst form of persecution or opposition a Christian will face will not come from an unbeliever but the one who
claims to be believer or follow of Christ (Counterfeit Christian)!
 We need to stop relyingon living out the Gospel tobe the Gospel!
 Common Christian Clichés that support this:
 “Preach the Gospel at all times, if necessary, use words”
 “We are livingstones proclaimingthe gospel by example for othersto see. We may be the only Gospel they will
ever see andhear.”
 “We don’t needtopreach the Gospel; we needtodisplay the Gospel!”
 “Do notworry about talkingaboutJesus. Justlive like Him andyou fulfill the Great Commission.”
 It is true that we are to let our light shine before men (that is see our good works-Matthew 5:16) but we are to tell
people why we let our light shine (because of Christ).
 It is true that we are to live holy, blameless, and righteous lives before God but we should never make that the
Gospel to people. Just because you live it out does not mean you are sharing it!
 It is true that we are to practice what we preach: What we believe and preach is what we live by! However, living
out the Gospel is not preaching nor will it convince others to believe the Gospel. Trying to live the Gospel without
preaching it is being ashamed of the Gospel!
 The Gospel cannot be shared without words. It needs to be heard in order to respond. It needs to be spoken in
order to be comprehended. Faith comes only by hearing and hearing by the Word of God (Romans 10:14).
 Livingit out but not sharingitwill lead to three negative responses from people:
1) “Goodfor you but notgood for me”- They may pat you on the back or praise you for your holy conduct but it
will not convince them to be saved.
2) “Holier thanthou”- They may think you are trying to be better than they are or may think you have a
superiority complex. They may also think that you are being too religious and are trying to earn your way to
Heaven. This will only lead them away from the Gospel.

20. 3) “You’re brainwashed”- They may think you are being brainwashed by some cult by how you live your life. This
will also lead them away from the Gospel.
 It is difficult to share the Gospel in silence. Someone needs to hear it! Someone needs to share it! That is the only
way they can respond to the Gospel!
 We need to both display the Gospel (by Deed) and proclaim the Gospel (by Word) to be effective witnesses for
Jesus.
 We need to stop relyingon our personal testimony to be the Gospel-
 Personal testimony is good but it is only good when Jesus is the focus (not on you). It is only good because your life
has been changed because of what Christ did for you. Too often, people talk more about themselves and less of
Jesus when they share their testimony with others.
 Do not forget that the Gospel is HIS STORY! “Each of our livesis a story andwitheach new personwe meet, we
become a part of their story and they become apart of ours. The Godwho created the universe has somehow
woventogether these billions of storiesinto one story, whichis the greatest story ever told” - Shai Linne.
 Sharing your testimony is not the Gospel! If you are going to share your testimony to someone, make sure to
always weave or transition to the Gospel! The Gospel has the power to save! Not your testimony!
 Remember this: The Gospel is the cause of your testimony and your testimony is the effect of the Gospel!
 We need topray to God for opportunities or open doors to share it-
 We avoid procrastination.
 We avoid making a multitude of excuses to God.
 We avoid depending on others to share it.
 We avoid being unloving or apathetic towards others.
 We avoid regret for not sharing it.
 We avoid guilt for not sharing it.
 We avoid neutrality (middle ground).
 We avoid being passive (push overs).
 We avoid running away from our responsibility to share it (consider the Prophet Jonah).
 We avoid relying on human effort and will power and rely on His Spirit to work in us. Without Jesus, we can do
nothing.
 We avoid being tolerant with the unbelieving world.
 We avoid listening to the enemy’s lies that we are ineffective (cannot be used by God).
 We need to get out of our comfort zone andshare it-
 We need to get used to being sent into hostile and difficult environments where the Gospel is not well-received.
We should be willing to place ourselves in new situations, even uncomfortable and hostile ones, for the sake of
furthering the spread of the Gospel. Like a famous pastor once said, “Get comfortable with the uncomfortable”!
 We need to get away from being culture shocked. We need to learn and adapt to the culture, society, and
environment that we are in to better understand how to engage and share the Gospel.
 We need to stop playing church or get out of our Christian bubble. It is not wrong to attend church and or be
involved in your church but if that is all you care to do and have no passion to go out into your local community and
share the Gospel to others who do not believe, then it is meaningless! If church becomes a social club or a place of
isolation for you, then you have it all wrong! We are not called to sit in pews but to be sent out into the world to
spread the good news! You can be a light to your church but your light shines brighter in the darkness (unbelieving
world)!
 We need to stop being tolerant with the culture and other religions that oppose our Christian values.
 We need to pray for more believers to step out in faith and be sent into places where the Holy Spirit is leading them
(Matthew 9:37-38; Luke 10:2; John 4:35-38).
 We need to learn humilitywhen sharingit:
 We may feel intimidated at times for not having all the answers when it is being challenged or questioned. We
need to remember that we may not have all the answers but what we do know is what we must share.

21.  We may get embarrassed at times by stuttering over our words, having awkward stares and silences from your
hearers, and or losing our train of thought when sharing it. We need to remember that the Holy Spirit is with us
and that He will give us the right words to speak to them.
 We may get annoyed and or discouraged at times when it is rejected, ignored, and or they change the subject
when you share it. We might think we have failed but remember to not give up in sharing it no matter what. God
sees you putting effort and it does not go unnoticed with Him!
 We may get defensive and argumentative at times when people ridicule, threaten, and or revile you for sharing it.
We need to exercise self-control (one of the Fruits of the Holy Spirit) when someone offends us.
 We need to remember that God is pleasedwith and blesses those who share it:
 “Asitiswritten, “How beautiful are the feetof those who preach the Gospel of Peace. For those who bring glad
tidingsof good things” (Romans 10:15).
 “How beautiful upon the mountainsare the feet of those whobring the good news, who publishespeace, who
brings good news of happiness, who publishes salvation, who saysto Zion, “Your GodReigns” (Isaiah 52:7).
 “The fruit of the righteousis a tree of life, He whowins soulsiswise” (Proverbs 11:30).
 “The Law of the Lordis perfect, converting the soul; The testimony of the Lord is sure, making the wise the simple”
(Psalms 19:7).
 “Andthey that be wise shall shine as the brightnessof the firmament; and they that turnmany torighteousness
as the starsfor ever andever” (Daniel 12:3).
 We need to remember thatwe are amid aspiritual battle:
 The Devil and his demons know they have been defeated (Colossians 2:15; John 12:30; John 14:30). However, that
does not stop them from being sore losers. They will do anything and everything in their power to take as many
souls with them to Hell by deceiving them (Matthew 25:41).
 The mission of Satan is straight forward: He wants to Kill, Steal, and Destroy (John 10:10).
 The Devil’s playground is the world. Everything in the world belongs to God but the Devil is the god of the system
that opposes Him (anti-Christ). God has called us believers out of the world to be sanctified and sent back into the
world to do battle against the Devil. Before we were even saved, we were on the enemy’s side and pledged
allegiance to the enemy (the Devil). However, now that we have been saved, we are God’s side and pledged
allegiance to Him. Yet, God has now placed us in the middle of a spiritual battleground (against the Devil) aiming to
save those in the world (by sharing the Gospel) who have been blinded and enslaved by him (Ephesians 2:2; 2
Corinthians 4:4).
 The Devil and his demons will stop at nothing to use distractions and diversions in the world to disqualify, hinder,
entice, and lead you away from sharing the Gospel. The Devil and his demons will stop at nothing to use
distractions and diversions in the world to keep people from hearing, believing, and obeying the Gospel.
 People (flesh and blood) are not our enemy! The real enemy is the Devil and his demons who hate the message of
the Gospel. They are the ones influencing people to scoff, mock, ridicule, reject, and hate it. Those under his
influence will always be oppressing and opposing Christians from sharing the Gospel.
 Soul-winning is a spiritual battle! Evangelism (sharing the Gospel) is true spiritual warfare!
 We should always be spiritually grounded in two things when we share the Gospel: The Word and Prayer!
 Evangelism is two-fold: 1) Waging war against the Devil and his demons 2) Rescue mission for the souls of men
THREE ISSUES PEOPLE DO NOT ACCEPT THE GOSPEL (SPIRITUAL BATTLE)

22. 1) THE ISSUEOF REASON
(BATTLE OF THE MIND):

Somepeople think it is irrelevant for our time(the
era of constant change).

misconceptions, and misunderstandings about it.
2. THE ISSUEOF REPENTANCE
(BATTLE OF THE WILL):
People donot want togive up their sin because they
love it.

People haveissues with authority and not being told

through manipulation and coercion.
People take offense when yousay thename“Jesus”

to something religious or spiritual.
3. THE ISSUEOF THE RESURRECTION
(BATTLE OF THE HEART):

from thedead.
People believeChrist’s resurrection was spiritual and not
physical

24.  Another Jesus- Any Jesus that is not the Jesus of the Scriptures! Anything that takes away or adds to both His
humanity and His divinity is another Jesus. There are many Jesuses out there in the world today but there is only
one Jesus!
 Stay away from those who teach these things (some examples):
 Jesus is one of many gods and rules His own planet. He is also the brother of the Devil). Those who believe this can
eventually become gods themselves just like Jesus and rule their own planet. (Mormonism/The Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter-Day Saints
 Jesus is not God but a created being. He is Michael the Archangel (Jehovah’s Witnesses)
 Jesus is not God but became an example for us to become little gods. Both He and Adam were little gods.

 Jesus is not God but a man who became an enlightened guru or ascended master. He became an example for us so
that we can become enlightened like Him (Eastern Mysticism and the New Age).

 Another Spirit- Any person or organization that takes away or adds to the divinity of the Holy Spirit is another
spirit. Any spirit that leads you into denying the work and divinity of Jesus is another spirit.
 Stay away from those who teach these things (some examples):
 You must be baptized by water in order to receive the Holy Spirit!
 You must speak in tongues in order to be saved (evidence you have the Holy Spirit)!
 You must perform miracles, signs, wonders, and healings in order to prove you are operating by the power of the
Holy Spirit!
 The Holy Spirit is not God but is a force or energy that you can tap into (Jehovah’s Witnesses and Christian Science
teaches this).
 The Holy Spirit is not God and should not be worshipped.
 The Receiving of the Holy Spirit and The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is heavily emphasized and are two different
events (not the same) in a Christian’s life. These two events must happen in the life of a Christian.
 The Holy Spirit is the key to unlocking secret knowledge and revelations from God (Gnosticism teaches this).
 The Holy Spirit can be released through transcendental meditation and yoga practices (Christian Mysticism
teaches this).
 The Holy Spirit is only a symbol of faith and not a real person.
 The Holy Spirit is referred to feminine pronouns such as “She” or “Her.”
 The Holy Spirit is genderless and or transgender (i.e., refer to as an it).
 The Holy Spirit can be manipulated or controlled to do your bidding (Prosperity Gospel teachers teach this).
 You can breathe in the Holy Spirit (i.e., breath prayers). You can impart the Holy Spirit unto others through
breathing upon them (like Jesus did to His disciples).
 Holy laughter is the evidence of you having the Holy Spirit
 You can get high off the Holy Spirit (smoke him as if He is a marijuana joint).
 You can be drunk in the Holy Spirit
 You can get slained in the Spirit

25.  You can impart the Holy Spirit unto others through the practice of “fire tunnels”
 Another Gospel-Any gospel that takes away or adds to the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus is another
gospel! Any gospel that contradicts the True Gospel of the Scriptures! In fact, anyone preaching another gospel is
accursed!
 Stay away from anything thatteachesthese things (some examples):
 The Gnostic Gospel (Da Vinci Code/Hollywood Gospel)- It teaches that matter (physical) is evil and spirit (spiritual)
is good. Therefore, Jesus’ body was not real but appeared to be physical and that His spirit descended upon Him
when He was baptized. It goes on to say that His spirit left Him when He was crucified. There are other gnostic
gospels that depict Jesus and God as being evil and Satan as good (who becomes a hero that fights for humanity
and defeats them). Yet there are others that mentions Jesus faking His death on the cross and marries Mary
Magdalene (who bears numerous children). However, Gnosticism is a belief that has gain popularity in Hollywood
and its teachings are propagated in most Hollywood movies of today.
 The Aquarian Gospel (New Age)- It teaches that Jesus was not God but just a man who travelled to India, Greece,
and other countries to obtain wisdom and enlightenment in order to encounter the god within you. It goes on to say
that He brought these teachings back with Him to Palestine and taught it to His disciples. Therefore, it leads
people into dabbling with New Age Spiritual Practices and Eastern Mystical Spiritual Practices to obtain what
Jesus obtained (that is the Christ Consciousness).
 The Woke Gospel (Cancel Culture)- It teaches that Jesus was woke (awakened) to the racial and cultural injustice
of his day. It teaches that we must be woke (awakened) to the racial discrimination and social injustices of our
day. Those who embrace this gospel will do whatever it takes to eliminate all social problems and inequality (even
if it means using guerilla warfare tactics against governing authorities and spreading propaganda in their
community to cause division and hate between certain races and ethnicities).
 The Environmentalist Gospel (Gaia/Mother Earth)- It focuses more about caring for the earth and the environment
more about caring for people’s souls. It emphasizes that all humans are stewards of God’s creation and have been
given the responsibility to care for it. The danger behind this gospel is that the god it refers to is none other than
Mother Earth/Gaia and that it worships the creation rather than the Creator. Sadly, the Catholic Church has
recently joined partnership with the United Nations in creating the 10 Green Commandments to help prevent
global climate change and global warming.
 The Power Gospel (Signs and Wonders/New Apostolic Reformation)- It teaches that Jesus emptied Himself
(Kenosis) of His divinity before His incarnation. It also teaches that He came on earth as a man who obtained
divinity when the Holy Spirit descended upon Him after He was baptized by John the Baptist. Jesus constantly
relied on the Holy Spirit to perform miracles, signs, healings, and wonders during His earthly ministry. It goes on
to say that after He died on the cross, He had to suffer in Hell in order to redeem humanity.
 The Prosperity Gospel (Health and Wealth)- It teaches that physical healing, success, and prosperity has been
provided by the atonement (Christ’s death). Instead of sin, God put all of humanity’s sickness, diseases, sorrow,
grief, and poverty on Jesus. Like the Power Gospel, it also teaches that Jesus went to Hell to suffer for our
redemption. Therefore, God wants everyone to be rich and healthy and if you are poor or sick (with illness or
disease), then you do not have enough faith.
 The Moral Performance Gospel (Behavior Modification)- It professes that Jesus is God but it teaches that He came
to set an example for us to live by (living a sinless and perfect obedient life before God). It diminishes the
atonement of what Christ did for us on the cross and emphasizes that we can be just as good as Christ (or even
better). We can accomplish this by right thinking, right behavior, right actions, right speech, and right attitudes.
Rather than dying to self, we can make self-better. It also teaches that you do not need Jesus to be good but that
you are good enough if you keep the Golden Rule (treating others the way you want to be treated).
 The Legalist Gospel (Law Keeping)- It teaches that Jesus did not come to abolish the Law of Moses and therefore
we must keep it. Jesus’ atonement is not enough for salvation. You must achieve both salvation and spiritual
growth by keeping the Law.
 The Self-Esteem Gospel (Do It Yourself/Believe in Yourself)-The counterpart of the Prosperity Gospel. It teaches
how you can improve yourself rather than the focus on Jesus’ work and personhood that saves us. It is all about

26. you being happy, that God wants you to be the best that you can be and that it is up to you to reach your full
potential within yourself. Rather than believing in Jesus Christ alone, you believe in yourself! You live your best
life now rather than in Heaven!
 The Universalist Gospel (God is Love)- It teaches that everyone who has ever lived, is living, or will be living in the
future will be saved regardless of what they believe (religion) and removes the need to repent and believe in
Christ alone. This gospel also teaches that Satan and his demons will be given a second chance of redemption and
reconciliation with God in the last days.
 The Inter-Faith Gospel (Ecumenicalism)- It teaches that we should come together with others in different
religious faiths (ecumenical unity) by advocating social justice and assist with humanitarian efforts. Instead of
standing in the truth of the Gospel, it teaches to set aside the truth and unite with other religious faiths to make
the world a better place.
 Counterfeit Gospels Are Inspired andEndorsed by Demons:
 They inspire those to preach man-centered sermons rather than Christ-centered sermons.
 They inspire those to teach damnable heresies rather than the truth concerning Christ.
 They inspire those to teach doctrines of demons rather than doctrines of God.
 They inspire those who hear to not endure sound doctrine and reject the truth.
 They inspire their influencers to oppose and persecute those who love and endure sound doctrine.
 They inspire those who hear to follow and worship idols rather than worshipping God alone.
