Classic. There was no big announcement; die-hard fans simply
noticed that the webpage for the Classic version had
disappeared.

13 years have passed since the first version of the iPod
appeared, back in 2001. Since then there have been six
different generations of the iPod Classic.
In the latest revamp in 2007, the 6th generation iPod Classic
proudly had the biggest storage size of any of the iPod
offerings – 160GB.
4. What’s next for iPod fans?
If you are looking for the ‘next best’ offering, you’ll have to go
for an iPod Touch. This is the biggest-capacity iPod available
now the Classic has been discontinued. Nonetheless, the
64GB storage is not a patch on the Classic’s 160GB.
