They have migrated 10 business critical applications to Microsoft Azure for high availability and disaster recovery. Additional Azure workloads include a data warehouse, website, and IT service management platform. First Tech is using APIs and API management to enable third parties and expand offerings. Dynatrace is being used to monitor all workloads in Azure and critical on-premise systems, providing end-to-end visibility and pinpointing performance bottlenecks. The speaker emphasized that digital transformation is essential given disruptions in financial services, and that cloud and APIs will be fundamental elements of First Tech's transformation.
