DUSTIN J. HONN
OBJECTIVE
Seeking to serve the body of Christ with my music ministry. Looking to be a member of an enthusiastic
team that is committed to following God’s Word and sharing that Word with everyone. I am a friendly
and faithful Worship Leader that believes that the power of music can greatly enhance worship and
through emotion can help strengthen people’s relationship with God. I diligently work hard at my
gift from God and study His word as it pertains to the sermon to try and tie the worship set directly
to the Pastor’s sermon. I believe that the musical selections should help build the picture of the day
as best as they can, so the congregation can worship to the words they are learning by that day.
PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY
I am a proficient musician that can lead from guitar or piano. I also play various other instruments
including; drums, bass, saxophone, ukulele, harmonica, cajon and other percussion.
I have been blessed to have written and recorded many original songs, and have opened in concert
for Shane & Shane, Jonny Diaz, & Jason Gray. I have a solid understanding of contemporary
Christian music and some traditional worship. I have the ability to engage the congregation and bring
a lot of excitement and energy when I lead.
I also have a very strong work background in management which I feel gives me experience with
many personality types, helps me with conflict resolution and has improved my organizational skills.
