Even for a financial services giant, this migration project was a tall order.
Over 1,500 of the banks’ clients needed to be transitioned from three older systems to
a new, single platform. The project presented the financial institution—one of the
world’s largest—with a number of challenges. The migration would be large and
complex in size and scope. The affected clients (who comprised nearly 15 percent of
the company’s total revenue) were part of its growing commercial card business line,
which provides customized services unique to each client.
As a preferred vendor, Kforce had provided staffing and project-based solutions to the
bank for several years, interacting regularly with the bank’s top leaders. It was during
one of these routine meetings that we first learned of the migration project—nearly a
month before the bank issued its request for proposal for staffing services.
Kforce met with the bank’s senior leadership to gain a thorough understanding of the
project, identify and address potential issues/concerns, determine project scope,
timelines, resource needs, skill sets, and develop a strategic, in-sourced project
solution for the Chicago-based, 24-month-long project. The bank engaged Kforce
after hearing our proposed strategy, which included:
 Leveraging the resources of our National Recruiting Center and local IT
recruiting specialists to identify the best possible candidates for each position
 Screening, testing and meeting with each candidate prior to submission to the
company for consideration
 Providing transparency and collaboration through weekly status meetings
 Dedicating a Senior Project Management Team and Training Specialist Team to
assist in further defining the project scope, requirements and migration plans
Bank leaders have praised the professionalism and experience of Kforce consultants,
the project’s minimal attrition (thanks in part to our comprehensive consultant care
program), and the progress of the migration effort thus far. As a direct result of this
experience, the bank named Kforce as the sole staffing provider for a second migration
effort. This project (which will be similar in scope and size to the earlier migration)
began in 2013 and will include up to 50 Kforce consultants at the project’s peak.

lead project manager, and recruiting specialists, who quickly identified potential
candidates and experienced professionals to fill critical project management positions.
We ultimately screened more than 1,000 candidates for project consideration as part
of our commitment to identifying the best possible resources for our clients.
Currently, Kforce has more than 100 consultants onsite, each with extensive
