This study examined the health service seeking behaviors of 31 tourists visiting Nepal. The majority (60%) stayed 15-30 days. Most (80%) were repeat visitors. When asked what they would do if sick, all respondents said they had not considered it and were unsure. The top reference points for treatment were hotels (42%), travel agents/guides (23%), and embassies (14%). While some tourists brought basic medicines (40%), most had no health preparations (90%). There was strong support (97%) for developing a one-stop expert health solution center for tourists in Nepal.
