COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The course on “7 Habits of Highly Effective People” by
Stephen R. Covey is a course that brings about efficiency in work,
effectiveness in human relations, and success and fulfillment in
life as a whole.
The values and techniques imbibed in the process are called
“Habits” because they are a scientific and logical overlapping of
skills, knowledge, and attitude. When those three things in life
overlap, they form a habit.
Stephen R. Covey believes that improving the efficiency,
productivity, and profitability in the workplace is not just a
matter of skills and knowledge, it is basically a matter of
attitude based on correct values and universal principles.
This course runs for three days using interactive, participative,
and practical activities and experiential learning that will change
the lives of people in a dramatic way.
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
• learn and recognize that most of the problems in the workplace are not
problems of skills and knowledge, but problems of attitude.
• identify and acknowledge the real and urgent need to work on attitude if
he/she wants quantum improvements in efficiency, productivity, and
profitability.
• discover and realize that attitude is not just a product of “espoused values”
or external techniques and systems implemented, but molded by correct and
moral values and universally tested and accepted principles.
• imbibe these values and principles, first, individually, then, second,
organizationally, in order to generate a much improved and enhanced
performance of duties and responsibilities in the workplace.
• design and device immediately doable and applicable techniques and
strategies that will generate concrete and measurable results of efficiency and
productivity.
