He obtained his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) and MS in Medicine degree from Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh. He gathered a lot of field experience on dairy, poultry and pet animal diseases diagnosis, treatment and research. He started his career with PRAN Dairy Hub as a Veterinary Doctor and also worked as a Field Research Officer at International Centre for Diarrhoeal Diseases Research, Bangladesh (ICDDR,B). Dr. Rahman worked as a Senior Sector Specialist (Livestock & Poultry) at BRAC and also as a Scientific Officer at Bangladesh Livestock Research Institute. He has been working for the livestock farmers so that they can easily access to all livestock production inputs and can minimize the production cost.
