In a time where we are constantly encouraged to re-use and re-cycle, this article encourages the use of experiences good or bad, as opportunities to grow!

1. I have spenta fewdaysclearingoutseveral pairsof shoesandclothesthatI cannot imagine Iwill
wearagain. However,aswe live inatime where we are encouragedtorecycle ourgoods,theywill
definitelynotbe discarded,butrecycled.Someone elsewillbe able tomake gooduse of
them. None of the itemswill be wasted.
So mythoughtswere directedtothe manyexperiencesthatIhave had inmy life,some greatand
othersso terrible thatIwas numband wonderedif Icouldgetovercome them...butlikethe items
that I organisedina cleanandtidypile readytobe givenawayforrecycling,none of my experiences
are wasted either withif only's and regrets. Do you everreflectonsituationsorcircumstancesthat
haven'tquite gone toplan? If like me youhave haddisappointments,youwill understandexactly
whatI am meanwhenIreferto suchexperiencesasdebilitating. Maybe youwere letdownwithina
relationship,ortreatedbadlyatwork;not giventhe creditthatyourightlydeserve,overlookedor
worse yet,youreceivedpoorperformance ratingsdespite yourcredentials,skillsandcompetence,
by someone thatisunqualifiedotherthantheir'favourablecomplexion',yes,Iamindeedreferring
to the majoritygroup.I say thatnothingsaidor done to you;the tears that youcried;the anger that
youfeltthe nervesthatovertookyou;the feelingof dreadinyourstomach andpalpitationsof the
heartdue to issuesorcircumstancesbeyondyourcontrol...notone of those preciousexperiences
are wastedbecause:
1. Theyare powerful teachable moments....Whatdoyouknow now,that youwouldnothave
knownhadyou nothad those experiences? Youare readingthisarticle,therefore youhave
survivedyoursituation!
2. You can share withand encourage othersthatare goingthroughsimilarchallenges,andwith
convictionsay"Thingsare and will getbetter".
3. You wouldhave developedandestablishedknowledge andskillsabouthow tomanage and
deal withsituationsthatcanaid yourself inthe future butalso supportothers.
We are all ona journeyof life. Nobodyhasa blueprintthatdetermineshow itshouldandwill
manifestitself. Powerful people are humble,wise,approachable,caringandkind. Theydonot need
to asserttheirstrengthandcertainlywouldnotbully,overlookanddisregardothers.
So use yourexperiencesasopportunitiestoencourage andenable yourself andothers.No
experience iseverwasted,recycle!
