3. How do native families make their homes?
Native families on Montana plains lived in teepees
so they could follow the buffalo.They took 12 sticks
to support the tepee they killed goat or buffalo to
wrap the skin around the sticks and then put their
things inside. and that is called a tepee.
4. How do they dress and how do they make clothing?
Native families dressed differently than we do in
Billings.They had a lot of feathers to do with their clothing
and also had very many concerts with these woman
called jingle dancers. They have dresses with a lot of
detail. These concerts are very fun to watch!
5. What is a powwow?
A powwow is a big native
celebration where native families
gather around and watch native
people dance in fancy suits and
have drums and instruments and
the dancers dance to the drums.
6. A special dancer...
There is a native man named Supaman and he
is a native man and sings rap and his rap is not
the rap you here on the radio his rap is about
peace, he has won many things for his songs, he
lives in Billings Montana his dances are amazing
to watch!
