2. DEVELOPMENT &
PLANNING STAGE
The pre-development phase is quite essential
for a commercial project. In this phase several
sites are surveyed, the budget is set, tender
for project construction is set out.
3. THE PRE-DESIGN
STAGE
Some steps here may overlap with the previous stage,
in this stage, mainly it is decided the purpose of the
structure, the number and purpose of rooms, size, and
orientation of the structure with local roads.
4. DESIGN STAGE
Here, the detailed drawing and schematics of the
building are drawn up by an architect which is
tallied by structural & civil engineers and verified
for code compliance.
5. PRE-CONSTRUCTION
STAGE
In this phase, all the permits and paperwork about the
development of a commercial building are procured. Along with
this, insurance is sought.
6. After the completion pre-construction stage,
the contractors take estimation and
quotations from different vendors for the raw
materials required. A balance between
budget & quality of the material is sought.

STAGE
7. CONSTRUCTION
STAGE
This is the most time striking process of commercial
development planning, in this phase the site is prepared,
and the actual construction begins.
8. POST-CONSTRUCTION
STAGE
Once the construction is complete, the structure
is further analysed by a team of engineers from
varied fields to ensure the structure is safe for
commercial usage.
