This document proposes a revised scheme for understanding dominance in human relationships. It distinguishes between those who are dominant over others, those who are dominated by others, those who are self-dominant by pursuing authority but not domination of others, and those who are self-dominated including autistic people and victims of harassment. The traditional labels of "dominant" and "dominated" are retained only for describing the animal world.

Dominated : Person who tends to be dominated by the other(s)
Dominant : Person who tends to dominate the other(s)
Balance : It may represent the child at a young age, the perpetuation of the existing parental
scheme, the siblings or the true loner.
Self-Dominant : The conscious or unconscious goal of a self-dominant is to become an
authority or to be perceived as such. In contrast to the dominant, the self-dominant does not
seek domination and his philosophy of life can be summarised in the following motto:
Women: I do not want to be Queen instead of the Queen because I am already my own Queen.
Men: I do not want to be Kink instead of the King because I am already my own King.
Ex: Marie Curie, Albert Einstein, etc.
Self-Dominated : In this population we find: autistic people, victims of all forms of harassment
(academic, moral, professional, psychological, marital, sexual, etc.), mental and neurological
diseases, urban or ancestral legends. Self-dominated also means having extraordinary talents,
skills and intelligence.
Ex: Stephen Hawking
It is impossible to adapt this new scheme to the animal world, so the expression "Dominant-
Dominated" remains unchanged and now marks a fundamental break with human beings.
