4. TIME LOG
Is a diary that tracks activities and enables
a person to determine how time is used.
MULTITASKING
The ability to do several things or works at
the same time
Current research found that people who
multitask are actually less efficient than those
who focus on one complex project at a time
Time is lost when switching between tasks,
and at the same time loss increases with the
complexity of the task
Managing two tasks at once reduces the
brainpower available for either task, and it
increases stress
6. PRIORITY DETERMINATION
PRIORITY - is the presence given to
one activity over other activities.
TO-DO-LIST
Refers to the written list of activities
the individual has to complete.
Deciding what is really important and
find time to do it.
7. TIME MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
FOUR MAJOR PARTS:
1. Priority – setting priorities on a to-do list increase performance.
2. Objectives - states what we want to accomplish within a given
period of time.
3. Plans – state how you will achieve your objectives.
4. Schedules – state when the planned activities will be carried out.
8. Time Management Steps:
Step 1. Plan Each Week.
- On the last day of each week, plan the coming
week. Do this every week. Start by listing the
objectives you want to accomplish during the week.
Step 2. Schedule Each Week.
- Scheduling your weeks gets you organized to
achieve your important objectives.
Step 3. Schedule Each Day.
- At the end of each day, you should schedule the
next day. Or you may begin your day by scheduling it.

time of doubt is especially tough on
women.
12. The 40s and 50s. People in their
40s and 50s are sometimes forced to seek
new employers or new careers. This can be
difficult when trying to cope with growing
older.
The 60s and 70s. At this stage people
begin to prepare for retirement. They can
pass along what they have learned and
provide continuity. People at this stage
make good role models and mentors.

Step 1. Self-Assessment.
Step 2. Career Preferences and Exploration.
Based on your self-assessment, you must decide what
you want from your job and career, and prioritize those
wants. Its also important to know why you want to do
these things.
Step 3. Set Career Objectives.
Example: Assuming graduation from College in May 2009.
To attain a sales position with a large insurance company by June
30, 2009.
To attain a starting first-year income of $35,000.
To attain MBA by June 30,2012
To become a sales manager in the insurance industry by June 30,2015
To attain a salary of $65,000 by June 30,2015
