• Founded on the 5th February 2011
• We are only 9 months old!
• Our main reason for being is the
implementation of the National Youth Policy
that was revised in 2010
• The Maltese policy states that young people
are considered to be those between 13 and
30 years of age

3. Point 5 of the policy states that:
‘Community Cohesion is the positive
interaction between groups of people
brought about by a sense of
togetherness that promotes effective
interaction within the community.
Volunteering contributes to a cohesive
society creating bonds of trust and
solidarity as well as social capital. Youth
volunteering not only contributes to
personal development,
but also to a cohesive society.’

4. •The Agency provides support to any
youth organisation that is either run by
young people or provides a service to
young people.
•Any organisation working in any field of
civil society can become a registered
member of the agency.

5. Registered organisations are provided with the following
support:
1. the use of equipment for outdoor and indoor
activities;
2. the use of the premises of the agency to organise any
kind of activity;
3. the use of Marsaxlokk Youth Activity Centre
(residential premises) at a reduced prices;
4. the use of various sports facilities at a reduced price;
5. support to develop Youth in Action projects;
6. free promotion /publicity .

6. Supports young people that are interested
in investing their time and energy in
voluntary work through:
•an online directory

•U Volunteer? Publication
•the support of a Youth Officer
•Volunteering Tours ..........VolTours
