• The topic “Is Baroda Times, really
Baroda Times?” deals with the content
of Baroda Times, a supplement of
Times of India.
• The businessmen, professionals and
the general public expect local news in
the supplement because of its title.
• The title “Baroda Times” suggests that
the content in it will only be relating to
the city which is hardly the case.

“Is Baroda Times, really Baroda
Times?” is the main question behind
the whole project.
The questionnaire was filled in by 50
respondents and on that basis, a
report had to be made and on the
basis of the report, a PowerPoint
Presentation was made.

The conclusions drawn below are made
on the responses given by 50
respondents:
The first question asked to them
specifically about Baroda Times was
whether to include National and
International news. The responses
were almost 50-50 for this view.
The pages of local news in Baroda
Times should be at least 3-4, as
pointed out from the survey.

There was a majority of the
respondents asking for opinions from
familiar personalities.
About 70% said that local
advertisements should be included in
the supplement. The reason behind
this is because people living in the city
need to get updated about the things
that are sold or services that are
provided in the city.

On asking about the parties covered
by Baroda Times, the reply from the
respondents said that it focuses more
on parties rather updating the masses
about what is going in the city.
There were more than 50% saying
that it would not be an issue if Baroda
Times did not exist.

80% respondents rated Baroda Times
between 3-4 on the scale of 10(10-
Satisfied, 1-Dissatisfied), 10% rating it
between 1-2 and other 10% rating it
above 8.

8. Conclusion
The content in Baroda Times has to
be changed.
The respondents suggested to
increase the content of local news.
The quality of pictures can be
improved along with the history of the
city being included as pointed out by
respondents.
