The OneITSM solution is designed on the premise that the core purpose of the Remedy ITSM suite is to allow the
business users to deliver their services to Clients and thus the solution must perform as expected in terms of
availability (including performance). One of the core users of system resource in any system is reporting as it
typically involves the retrieval of largeamounts of data and this has a great impact upon any database.
The OneITSM reporting solution is therefore designed around a ‘mirrored’ copy of the Remedy database with
transactions from the live system pushed to this mirror. Reports may then be run against this mirror and the impact
upon the live systems is reduced. Once the data is replicated in the mirror, the reporting solution manages the data
and how it is accessed in complete isolation of the Remedy ITSM system
