ManufacturingEngineering Planner July 2011 – Current
Primary responsibilities asa liaison planner for the last4.5 years concerned the development, authoring, approving,
and implementation of various varieties of build plans.Includingtheprocessingof non-conformance Installation plans,
Build Plan Revision requests, engineering quick changes, and work statement request documents.
Maintained various billsof materials, illustrations, and work instructions to create and document as built
configurations. This was accomplished through my knowledge to interpret installation requirement models, Boeing
Process Specifications,and Liaison engineeringdispositions.
Created and maintained ManufacturingBill of Materialsfromordering, removals, consumption issues, and the creation
of part numbers through engineering dispositionsin particularnon-conformances and engineeringquick changes.
Reviewed and approved supplier data to ensure manufacturingrequirements were met. This was accomplished
primarily through the investigation stageof transfer and reallocation Emergent Process Documents. I was tasked with
investigatingparteffectivity often times had to contact suppliersto interrogate their engineering requirements and
drawings.
Developed integrated work statements and sequencingof events to supportdelivery commitments by servingas focal
for Alternate/Offsite paintingoperations.Coordinated with Quality assuranceleadership,Manufacturingfloor,
Industrial engineering,to verify sequencingand scheduling,Design Engineering, and manufacturingengineering to
coordinateprocess changes to support pre and post flightpaintoperations that deviated from the normal process flow.
Communicated changes with Boeing South Carolina Flightlineoperations by creatingtemplates for Installation plans
and process tipsheets.
Served as focal for the integration of the XFER/Reallocation process to an Onlinemanufacturing planningplatform. The
XFER Process is when a higher priority aircrafttakes a part assigned to another aircraft.Suggested two major changes
to the process document that controls this process. The firstmajor changewas to add requirement for QA or MPRF to
verify the serial number and ARL number of partto be transferred. The second major change was to require
manufacturingshop to provide next higher assembly if the part being transferred was a supplier partthatwasn’t visible
in the Boeing databasesystem. This reduced costly idletime and streamlined the process.
