LIEUTENANT COLONEL DENNIS HOWARD CHEVALIER
Lieutenant Colonel Dennis Chevalier is currently on his second
retirement from the Civil Air Patrol. Lt. Col. Chevalier has earned
Specialty code ratings in the category of master for Command, Aerospace
Education, and Personnel.
Lt. Col. Chevalier is a former aircraft commander and squadron
commander, and has held several key positions with the Texas Wing
including one of the first DEA Counter Drug pilots for the Southwest
Region. Lt. Col. Chevalier is a Command Pilot with over 2027 hours as
pilot in command.
Lt. Col. Chevalier was presented a letter of commendation from
the United States Treasury Department for Operation Blue Fire, a letter of
commendation from the Texas Air National Guard 136th
Security Police Flight for the investigations and
recovery of lost/stolen property of the Civil Air Patrol, and was presented two Commanders
Commendations for outstanding performance at a region staff college and a flight clinic. Lt. Col. Chevalier
is a former member of the Air Force Association.
CAP is the official United States Air Force Auxiliary and by law, congressionally chartered to
conduct emergency services, aerospace education, and cadet programs for the United States of America.
CAP is currently tasked with additional duties with the Department of Homeland Security.
Lt. Col. Chevalier was born in Nashville, Tennessee and has an identical twin brother and two
sons. His highest academic degree held is that of PhD in Criminal Psychology and a Bachelor of Science
in Criminal Justice/Forensics, a Master of Science in Management in Criminal Justice, and is currently
pursuing a Doctor of Management in Homeland Security.
Dr. Chevalier is a Forensic Investigative Psychological Criminologist and Criminal Profiler. A
former Advanced Texas Peace Officer; SWAT entry specialist with the rank of Lieutenant, and police
academy director, and currently is a member of the American College of Forensic Examiners Institute as a
certified medical investigator (CMI).
